Kits including a means for testing for a non-viral tick-borne disease and/or symptoms thereof and a long half-life 8-aminoquinoline, such as tafenoquine, are disclosed.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are innovations for bitstreams having clean random access (CRA) pictures and/or other types of random access point (RAP) pictures. New type definitions and strategic constraints on types of RAP pictures can simplify mapping of units of elementary video stream data to a container format. Such innovations can help improve the ability for video coding systems to more flexibly perform adaptive video delivery, production editing, commercial insertion, and the like.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for communications between applications in a mobile operating system. A first application may receive a request for data from a second application. The first application may generate a first URL to the second application, a parameter of the first URL comprising an identifier of the first application. A mobile operating system may access the first URL to open the second application. The second application may validate credentials for an account and initiate a server on a port. The second application may generate a second URL to the first application, a parameter of the second URL comprising the port. The operating system may access the second URL to open the first application. The first application may establish a connection with the server using the port specified in the second URL and receive data from the second application via the connection with the server.

Abstract: The disclosure includes a doorbell having a visitor detection system that can comprise at least one of a camera, a microphone, and a motion detector. The method for using the doorbell can comprise recording, via the camera, video data that represents a video. The method can also comprise recording, via the microphone, audio data that represents audio. The method of using the doorbell can comprise transmitting at least a portion of the video data and at least a portion of the audio data, to a remote computing device that is communicatively coupled to the doorbell. The method can also comprise transmitting the video data and the audio data to a remote server that is communicatively coupled to the doorbell.

Abstract: A system for maintaining heated fluid for sensor cleaning includes a reservoir, a heat exchanger, and a manifold fluidly coupled to the heat exchanger and to the reservoir. The manifold additionally includes a set of pumps positioned to distribute fluid to a set of sensors. A controller is programmed to actuate flow of cleaning fluid from the manifold to the heat exchanger responsive to an output signal from the temperature sensor.

Abstract: A control system for a rotary electric machine includes an inverter including a plurality of power switches, a heat exchanger, first temperature sensors arranged to monitor the power switches, a second temperature sensor arranged to monitor the heat exchanger, and a controller. An expected power loss is determined based upon electric current, switching functions, and electrical characteristics of the power switches. A plurality of power capacity terms are determined based upon the expected power loss in the inverter, the temperatures of the power switches, and the temperature of the heat exchanger. The inverter is controlled based upon the aforementioned power capacities.

Abstract: Example embodiments relate to a cartridge configured to house a pre-vapor formulation for an e-vaping device, the cartridge including an inner portion and an outer portion configured to store the pre-vapor formulation. The outer portion includes a plurality of fibers configured to be mobile and/or configured to be substantially free of entanglement with one another. The fibers are configured to be substantially free of entanglement with one another based on the lengths of the plurality of fibers. For example, the lengths of the plurality of fibers may be in a range of about 3 mm to about 7 mm. The lengths may also be about 5 mm.

Abstract: An air admittance valve that includes a base, a flow control member, a diaphragm, and a cap. The base is open at its ends and includes an interior, an exterior, and a sidewall with at least a first port in the sidewall. The flow control member extends transverse across the interior of the base and includes a cavity aligned and in communication with the first port. The flow control member includes a central opening in the top side that is in communication with the cavity. The cap is selectively connected to the base and includes one or more openings in a sidewall that permit fluid to flow into the cavity. The diaphragm prevents a flow of fluid from the interior of the base into the cavity and permits a flow of fluid from the cavity of the flow control member into the interior of the base.

Abstract: A technique for interacting with a machine-trained language model uses dynamic prompt management. The technique includes: receiving an input query; accessing a state data store that provides candidate context information; partitioning the candidate context information into plural parts; selecting targeted context information from the candidate context information by determining a semantic relevance of the input query to each of the plural parts by performing vector-based analysis; creating prompt information that includes the input query and the targeted context information; submitting the prompt information to the machine-trained language model; and receiving a response from the machine-trained language model based on the prompt information. The technique has the overall effect of reducing the number of content units submitted to the language model, which, in turn, reduces the amount of resources and time required by the language model to process the input query.

Abstract: Systems and method for generating vehicle recommendations are determined using interaction information. An information data set may be mapped to a first user and include interactions based on a period of time. The interactions may be parsed by a trained machine learning model to determine trends and attributes. A user profile and a user score for different criteria may be compared to vehicle sores of multiple vehicles. Comparing the scores may identify recommended vehicles for the first user which may be transmitted to a user device of the user.

Abstract: Multimode messaging of the type suitable for use in communicating a plurality of datasets to a vehicle, a telematics unit, and/or another device. The multimode message may be facilitated with a hybrid platform having a plurality of radio access points configured for supporting messaging with a vehicle according to differing types of wireless radio communications and a back office controller configured for determining multimode information to be added to each of the datasets prior to the datasets being communicated to the hybrid platform for transport to the vehicle.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a bridge style dental prosthetic for replacing multiple lost or damaged teeth. More specifically, the present invention relates to an appliance comprising a base made of a first non-compressive material that is indefinitely affixed to the patient's jaw and a dentition portion that is made of a second compressive material and is removably affixed to the base portion, thus allowing restoration and/or replacement of the dentition portion without the need to remove and/or replace the base portion. The invention may include a dentition channel adapted to receive and removably secure the dentition to the base. The invention may also include a post disposed in the lower surface of the dentition that is received by an opening in the distal surface of the base to removably secure the dentition to the base.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for processing billing transactions from an Enterprise Resource Planning (“ERP”) system. In an example, when a new transaction posts to an ERP database, the ERP system creates a first virtual table with data related to the transaction. An application queries the ERP's database to create a second virtual table based on the first virtual table based on preconfigured criteria. Using the second virtual table, the application creates an editable billing item with all the data for billing the particular transaction type of the transaction. The editable billing items can be stored until the end of the billing period. At final billing, the application aggregates data from the editable billing items of each transaction type and sends the aggregated data to the ERP system for final billing. Prior to final billing, the editable billing items can be edited or changed as needed.

The method also includes measuring a second reconstruction loss as a function of the corresponding embedding dimensionality of the variational embedding and estimating a capacity of the reference embedding by comparing the first measured reconstruction loss for the reference embedding relative to the second measured reconstruction loss for the variational embedding having the specified capacity.

Abstract: Systems and methods for vehicles to detect and react to scene changes during stops for passenger pick-up, passenger drop-off, and deliveries. In particular, systems and methods are provided for a vehicle to detect a scene change while stopped and move a short distance from its stopped location. In general, after a vehicle has stopped to pick up or drop off a passenger or delivery, the vehicle remains stopped until it begins its drive to a next location.

Abstract: Electric submersible pumping systems are exposed to harsh chemicals in the downhole environment. Conductors used in the electric submersible pumping system must be shielded against these chemicals. To improve the resistance of conductors to hydrogen sulfide and other aggressive chemicals, an improved insulation system includes an interior layer applied to the conductor, a first outer layer, and an intermediate layer between the interior layer and the first outer layer. The intermediate layer can be a nano-composite layer that includes a mixture of nanoparticles in a polyether ether ketone (PEEK) polymer.

Abstract: A package includes a semiconductor die disposed on a three-layer substrate. The three-layer substrate includes a ceramic layer disposed between a top metal layer and a bottom metal layer. The semiconductor die is disposed on the top metal layer. An array of mesas is defined in the bottom metal layer with grooves between the mesas forming a path for cooling fluid flow across a surface of the bottom metal layer.

Abstract: A wax-extender emulsion including a plurality of wax-extender complex particles suspended in water is described. A wax-extender complex includes a wax component, an organic extender component and a surfactant that stabilizes the wax component and the organic extender component collectively to form the wax-extender complex. The wax-extender emulsion comprises from 2 wt % to 30 wt % organic extender. During manufacturing, the organic extender and wax component are emulsified and homogenized together to produce the wax-extender emulsion. The wax-extender emulsion can be co-applied as a mixture with adhesive resin during wood-based composite manufacturing.

Abstract: Provided herein are systems and method for providing routing of complex dynamically updated website applications using micro front ends (MFEs). The MFEs can be instantiated in a nested fashion. Each MFE can be agnostic to other levels of the website application structure that are not directly adjacent to the MFE in the hierarchy of the nesting. Navigation events can be bubbled up to a shell application to retain top-level control of routing within the website application without requiring the shell application to have all levels of routing in the hierarchy.
