Abstract: A method of constructing a building includes constructing a vertical support core of the building, and attaching a climbing rail to an exterior of the vertical support core. The climbing rail includes holes spaced vertically. A first floor plate is constructed around a periphery of the vertical support core, at a ground elevation, and includes at least one connecting rail having vertically spaced holes. A climbing jack is attached to the climbing rail, and moved vertically upward on the climbing rail to raise the first floor plate to a first floor final elevation. The first floor plate is permanently attached to the climbing rail at the first floor final elevation by inserting a pin through aligned holes in the connecting rail and the climbing rail.

  • Publication number: 20200385752
Abstract: The subject invention relates to a novel gene referred to herein as DSM-2. This gene was identified in Streptomyces coelicolor A3. The DSM-2 protein is distantly related to PAT and BAR. The subject invention also provides plant-optimized genes encoding DSM-2 proteins. DSM-2 can be used as a transgenic trait to impart tolerance in plants and plant cells to the herbicides glufosinate and bialaphos. One preferred use of the subject genes areas selectable markers. The use of this gene as a selectable marker in a bacterial system can increase efficiency for plant transformations. Use of DSM-2 as the sole selection marker eliminates the need for an additional medicinal antibiotic marker (such as ampicillin resistance) during cloning. Various other uses are also possible according to the subject invention.

Abstract: Non-volatile, high performance memory devices balance speed and reliability, which can include channel boosting to reduce data error rates in the memory cells. Vertical NAND strings exhibit greater program disturb (errors) the higher the wordline is on the string. The present disclosure applies a boosted bit line voltage or an increased precharge time when the programming reaches a level (wordline number) where it has been determined that errors due to program disturb may be an issue. The boost to the bit line may occur after a stored wordline value or based on a calculated number of errors at a previous wordline. In an example, the bit line stays the same as the prior world line programming operation until the likely program disturb is determined.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and an apparatus for video coding. The apparatus includes processing circuitry that decodes coding information of a current block (CB) from a coded video bitstream. The coding information indicates that the CB is coded with a subblock-based affine motion model including affine parameters that are based on multiple control point motion vectors (MVs) for the CB. The processing circuitry determines, based on the coding information, whether to select a subblock characteristic for generating a prediction for a sample in an affine subblock of the CB based on a corresponding subblock MV. In response to selecting the subblock characteristic, the processing circuitry determines the subblock characteristic based on at least one of the affine parameters. The subblock characteristic indicates one of: (i) a subblock size used for generating the prediction for the sample and (ii) an interpolation filter type for the affine subblock.
