Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for energy management at a consist. In one example, a method for the energy management includes coordinating a distribution of a power demand in response to a power output of each of a fuel cell system, a battery system, and an engine system. The power output of each of the fuel cell system, the battery system, and the engine system may be selected based on a respective efficiency of each system.

Abstract: A vehicle light has a heating element and a radiator vent that creates and distributes heated air inside the vehicle light. This prevents fog buildup on the inside of the light in cold and wet weather, allowing for more efficient and therefore safer lights for vehicles. A series of ceramic heating elements is arrayed in front of individual spines of a radiator vent. As each ceramic heating element receives electricity from the vehicle, its surface heats up. Air is blown past the heating elements and directed through the radiator vent by two or more blower motors. A temperature sensor regulates the amount of electricity that is sent to each ceramic element.

Abstract: A method for providing biofeedback to a user may include receiving a first signal associated with one or more biometric properties of a user, and determining a baseline cognitive state of the user based on the first signal. The method may include iteratively detecting an instant cognitive state of the user, and receiving, from the detecting step, a second signal associated with the one or more biometric properties. The method may include determining whether the second signal corresponds to threshold(s). Responsive to such determination, the method may include initiating first feedback action(s). Responsive to initiating the first feedback action(s), the method may include determining whether the instant cognitive state of the user is between the threshold(s) and the baseline cognitive state, and if not, initiating second feedback action(s).

The package includes a first layer and a second layer. The second layer is removably coupled to the first layer. The second layer includes a brush head section, a receptacle section, and a plurality of axially stacked folds. The brush head section cooperates with the first layer to enclose the first portion. The receptacle section cooperates with the first layer to enclose the oral receptacle. The axially stacked folds are disposed between the brush head section and the receptacle section and cooperate with the first layer to enclose the second portion.

Abstract: A single step body insertion device contains a Veress needle 10 which penetrates the skin surface and relevant tissue layers to reach fluid and/or gases that need to be removed from the body. The device comprises a cannula shaft 2 with a tapered distal tip 3 and a proximal hub 4 with a side port 7 housing a one way low pressure cracking valve 8. The cannula shaft is of a polymeric material which is flexible and kink resistant. The device is used for the management of conditions such as pneumothoraxes and pleural effusions as well as other conditions that require release of fluid and/or gas from the body.

Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method is provided for managing and transferring attire configurations on virtual entities in a virtual design environment. The method includes rendering a virtual entity as a three-dimensional digital model within a virtual entity design computing environment. A user applies multiple attire objects to the virtual entity in a specified sequence, and the system derives object sequencing metadata that records the order of attire application. A transferrable data container is configured to store representations of the attire objects along with the sequencing metadata. This data container enables the attire configuration, including object sequence and placement data, to be transmitted to and rendered in an interactive virtual environment distinct from the design environment, allowing for consistent appearance and behavior across different platforms.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved system and method for using cryptography to secure computer-implemented choice mechanisms. In several preferred embodiments, a process is provided for securing participants' submissions while simultaneously providing the capability of validating their submissions. This is referred to as a random permutation. In several other preferred embodiments, a process is provided for securing participants' advance instructions while simultaneously providing the capability of validating their advance instructions. This is referred to as a secure advance instruction. Applications include voting mechanisms, school choice mechanisms, and auction mechanisms.

The method can further include receiving, in the RRC inactive state, a paging message including parameters. The one or more parameters can include a first identifier, a second identifier indicating an MBS session, and a third indicator indicating whether the MBS session is allowed. The method can also include determining, based on the one or more parameters being present in the paging message, whether to initiate an RRC resume procedure. The method can further include sending, based on the determining, a radio resource control resume request message comprising the first identifier.

Abstract: A heating system for providing heat to a draped basin containing liquid above the drape. In addition to having at least one temperature sensor that controls a flow of electricity to the heating element, the system has at least one air gap detector in thermal contact with the heating element. Each air gap detector responding to a temperature above a high setpoint temperature for that air gap detector by interrupting the flow of electricity until detecting that the temperature has fallen below a reset setpoint temperature for that air gap detector so that an air gap in proximity to the one of the air gap detectors is prevented from causing a severe temperature excursion in a portion of the draped basin. Thus, the drape is protected from a local temperature excursion.

In this way, a puncture device is provided for accessing the vascular system that solves the problem of allowing the echograph monitoring of the needle, but whose fabrication implies a reduction in the technical difficulty for its obtention, while it avoids the accidental perforation of the distal wall of the vessel of interest.

In another embodiment of the invention, a trailer and liner combination, is provided that includes a vehicle having a housing with a front end, a rear end, a top, a bottom, a pair of sidewalls, and a door providing access to a cargo area defined by the housing. A frame assembly is provided wherein, the housing is mounted on and supported by the frame assembly. The cargo area has a floor and walls, and a liner is attached to at least one of the floor or the walls. The liner has a first face including projections extending therefrom that are also attached to a second face. In one embodiment, the liner includes an integral hatch for ease of accessing the underside of the vehicle.
