  • Patent number: 10435584
Abstract: The present invention relates to hydrophilic anti-fog coatings. In particular, the coatings use two types of nanoscale particles, colloidal silica and porous organosilicate micelles, in a polyurethane matrix. The invention is an anti-fog coating for optically clear substrates (polycarbonate, polyurethane, nylon, polyester and other clear plastics) without the need for a primer and glass substrates with an additional primer layer, comprising monosized colloidal silica nanoparticles and porous organosilicate micelles in a polyurethane matrix. The silica is preferably 1-5% by weight and the micelles are loaded at 0.1 to 10% volume percentage by volume. The polyurethane prepolymer is dissolved at 10-40% by weight in a mixture of tertiary amyl alcohol and diacetone alcohol to customize for dip, flow or spray coating processes.

  • Patent number: 10436476
Abstract: A motor/damper assembly installable on the top end of a fuel-fired water heater includes a support plate structure upon which a flue collar with a pivotally supported flue damper, a drive motor, and a drive shaft interconnecting the motor damper are mounted. The assembly is installed by placing the collar over the upper end of the water heater flue, securing the support plate structure to the top end of the water heater, and positioning a top cover housing on the support plate structure. Using the assembly provides improved support rigidity and alignment for the motor and shaft relative to the damper, improved repeatable precise manufacturing placement of the motor and shaft, improved construction aesthetics, with the cover also protecting the shaft from shipping and handling damages.

  • Patent number: 10435990
Abstract: A method of cleaning a blow-out preventer stack that is preferably attached to an oil and gas well drilling platform including an initial disconnecting of the stack from the well so that it can be lifted. The stack is then preferably lifted vertically a selected distance. The method further includes lowering a water pressure cleaning tool into the stack bore using a hose, the tool preferably being attached to a lower end portion of the hose. Pressurized cleaning fluid is transmitted to the cleaning tool via the hose. A collection vessel is preferably placed below the stack and spaced from the stack so that cleaning fluid and cleaned debris exit the stack bore or interior and enter the vessel during cleaning. The method includes continuously discharging the fluid and debris from the vessel via a discharge outlet of the vessel.

  • Patent number: 10438657
Abstract: In a memory system, variable resistance circuits, such as transistor circuits, in the word line and bit line decoders are set during bias line set times and/or prior to turn-on times of read operations to increased resistance levels. The variable resistance circuits are kept at the increased resistance levels during an initial turn-on time period during which a selected memory cell may conducts a current spike. The increased resistance levels of the variable resistance circuit may operate to reduce or limit the width of the current spike. In response to the initial turn-on time period ending, the variable resistance circuits are set back to low resistance levels to facilitate subsequent sense results detection events and program operations.

  • Patent number: 10437065
Abstract: Optimizations are provided for generating passthrough visualizations for Head Mounted Displays. The interpupil distance of a user wearing a head-mounted device is determined and a stereo camera pair with a left and right camera is used to capture raw images. The center-line perspectives of the images captured by the left camera have non-parallel alignments with respect to center-line perspectives of any images captured by the right camera. After the raw images are captured, various camera distortion corrections are applied to the images to create corrected images. Epipolar transforms are then applied to the corrected images to create transformed images having parallel center-line perspectives. Thereafter, a depth map is generated of the transformed images. Finally, left and right passthrough visualizations are generated and rendered by reprojecting the transformed left and right images.
