    Abstract: Air management systems are provided for optimizing airflow in laser welding with deflectors. A system for a welder includes a blower to generate an airflow stream. A plenum receives the airflow stream, directs it toward the workpiece, and defines an outlet facing the workpiece to expel the airflow stream toward the workpiece. A deflector adjacent the outlet is formed as a conical section converging from the plenum toward the workpiece, and is defined by an angled wall with an open center. The deflector concentrates the airflow stream to impart a velocity increase to the airflow stream after leaving the outlet and to impart a favorable directional component to the airflow stream toward a weld zone, as well as protecting the laser lens by increasing the downward momentum force of the air stream to eliminate the potential of spatter impinging the lens.

If the backup server determines that the application resource identifier was input with a snapshot capable tag, and that the application's resource satisfies any of the snapshot policy rules, the backup server identifies the data protection policy for the satisfied snapshot policy rule. The backup server outputs a request to the application's host to use the identified data protection policy to create a snapshot of the application's resource that was input with any associated snapshot capable tag.

In addition, when it is anticipated that the boom assembly will move, the computing system is configured to control the operation of the actuator before the future time such that movement of the boom assembly relative to the frame is reduced at the future time.

A high energy implant is performed to form at least one lightly doped region in a source or drain region in the substrate adjacent to the HVFET gate. The HE film is then removed, and a low voltage (LV) logic FET formed on the substrate in the peripheral region. In one embodiment, the LV logic FET is a high-k metal-gate logic FET.

When the noisy signal compares unfavorably with the representation of the noisy signal, supplying, by the transient circuit, a compensation signal to the conductor. A level of the compensation signal corresponds to a level at which the noisy signal compares unfavorably with the representation of the noisy signal.

The technique performs its ranking based on person-specific feature information. The technique produces each instance of person-specific feature information by accumulating features pertaining to a particular person. One or more application systems make use of the ranking information to control the presentation of the video information.
