Abstract: A method for handling contradictory queries on a shared device includes receiving a first query issued by a first user, the first query specifying a first long-standing operation for a digital assistant to perform, and while the digital assistant is performing the first long-standing operation, receiving a second query, the second query specifying a second long-standing operation for the digital assistant to perform. The method also includes determining that the second query was issued by another user different than the first user and determining, using a query resolver, that performing the second long-standing operation would conflict with the first long-standing operation. The method further includes identifying one or more compromise operations for the digital assistant to perform, and instructing the digital assistant to perform a selected compromise operation among the identified one or more compromise operations.

Abstract: An unsupervised text to speech system utilizing a lexicon to map input text to the phoneme sequence, which is expanded to the frame-level forced alignment with a speaker-dependent duration model. An alignment mapping module that converts the forced alignment to the unsupervised alignment (UA). Afterword, a Conditional Disentangled Sequential Variational Auto-encoder (C-DSVAE), serving as the self-supervised TTS AM, takes the predicted UA and a target speaker embedding to generate the mel spectrogram, which is ultimately converted to waveform with a neural vocoder.

Abstract: An apparatus for removing irradiated Co-60 capsules from a plurality of burnable absorber rodlets. The apparatus comprises a solenoid that induces an electromagnetic flux into a Co-60 capsule and locks the Co-60 capsule in parallel with the apparatus. The apparatus is slideable along a longitudinal axis of the burnable absorber rodlet and causes the Co-60 capsule to overcome a plurality of forces exerted on it.

Abstract: A computing system including a quantum computing device and a classical computing device. The computing system computes an estimated unitary matrix over a plurality of iterations that each include, at a processor, computing a current-iteration exponent, a current-iteration error parameter, and a conjugate transpose of a current-iteration estimate of the unitary matrix. Each iteration further includes transmitting the current-iteration exponent, the current-iteration error parameter, and the conjugate transpose to the quantum computing device. At the quantum computing device, each iteration further includes computing a process tomography result and outputting the process tomography result to the classical computing device. At the processor, each iteration further includes computing a distance measure between the current-iteration estimate and the process tomography result, and, when the distance measure is below a predefined constant, updating the current-iteration estimate.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing video content in a Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over Hypertext Transfer Protocol (DASH) streaming session may be provided. The method may include obtaining a pre-session-based description (PreSBD) information of the DASH streaming session instructing a PreSBD client to generate customized session-based description (SBD) document uniform resource locator (URL) for a plurality of SBD descriptors of the DASH streaming session. The method may further include instantiating the PreSBD client and passing PreSBD descriptor information. Then, the method may include controlling generation of a customized SBD document URL associated with a first SBD descriptor from the plurality of SBD descriptors of the DASH streaming session. The method may further include launching a first SBD client based on the customized SBD document URL and passing the first SBD descriptor.

Abstract: A method executed by a computing device includes identifying a set of contingency-action tokens (CATs) of an object distributed ledger that meets minimum CAT requirements. The method further includes determining to securitize the set of CATs based on an evaluation of each CAT. The method further includes determining reassignment information for each CAT and facilitating taking control of each CAT of a blockchain of the object distributed ledger using a securely passing process. The method further includes updating each CAT to include the reassignment information to produce an updated CAT. The method further includes causing generation of a new block affiliated with each corresponding updated CAT via the blockchain of the object distributed ledger using the securely passing process, where the new block includes the corresponding updated CAT.

Abstract: Stabilizing compositions for stabilizing a post-draw, but pre-analysis sample include, a saccharide, at least one heavy metal salt, and a pH from 5.9 to 8.0. The stabilizing compositions may include an aliphatic aldehyde, a buffer, and a preservative. The stabilizing compositions stabilize a sample for analysis. The analysis preformed on the stabilized cell may determine the state of a condition of interest, quantification of absolute cell counts, cellular activity, and qualitative analysis of cell types. Stabilizing a sample means that cells of the sample retain their biophysical properties, including biophysical properties of cell surface markers, for analysis. Preferably, the stabilizing compositions and methods may stabilize a sample for at least 16 days, and up to 30 days. The stabilizing compositions and methods may stabilize a sample for up to 180 days.

The light cable comprises a light cable electrical connector, a power cable, and an integrated light source. The integrated light source comprises an emissive radiation source having a first spectrum, an optical element located to direct emissions from the emissive radiation source, a volumetric spectrum converter, and an optical reflector located about the converter. The converter converts emissions directed from the emissive radiation source to emissions having a second spectrum different from the first spectrum. The reflector reflects the converter emissions towards the output filter.

The aqueous based, water-soluble polymer slurry systems may optimize processing of the suspension package so that it may slurry in low and high salt tolerance polymers, and the finished product can survive over 30 days at an approximately 120-degree Fahrenheit aging temperature, thereby overcoming economic performance and stability challenges through its high flash point, long shelf-life, high-temperature tolerance, and low cost.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods for dynamic battery management. Historically, most portable devices were designed to work with dry cell and rechargeable batteries which provided a stable power level that slowly dropped over time. More recently, however, some products have implemented dynamic loading capabilities—dynamic loading potentially offers better performance, longer battery life, and/or improved functionality. Unfortunately, dynamic loads have highly variable voltage readings that present a challenge in estimating remaining battery capacity. Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide power from multiple different power sources with different characteristics and/or capabilities. The power sources are monitored and dynamically loaded according to their capability. Additionally, the estimated usage may be provided to the user to inform them of e.g., remaining capacity, ongoing current draw, etc.
