Patent number: 11931053Abstract: A joint decorticator instrument configured for single use. The joint decorticator has a metal rod affixed within a polymer sheath. The polymer sheath has a longitudinal channel configured to receive an alignment protrusion with a working channel for maintaining the joint decorticator in a proper alignment relative to the working channel. The joint decorticator may include an integrated extraction mechanism involves an extraction lever pivotally connected to the handle portion of the polymer sheath. The extraction lever has an eccentric cam mechanism. When the extraction lever is pivoted toward an open position, the cam exerts a force onto a collar of the working channel and an opposite force on the connector pin that pivotally connects the extraction lever to the polymer sheath, thereby dislodging the abrading head of the joint decorticator from the joint.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2023Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: PTL Opco, LLCInventors: Sean LaNeve, Dwayne Polzer, Christopher Lee

Patent number: 11936648Abstract: Methods and apparatus for allowing an individual to preserve his/her privacy and control the use of the individual's images and/or personal information by other, without disclosing the identity of the individual to others, are described. In various embodiments the individual seeking privacy provides his/her identifying information, images, and sharing preferences indicating desired level of privacy to a control device which is then stored in a customer record. The control device can be queried to determine if an image or other information corresponds to a user who has restricted use of his/her image or other information in a public manner. Upon receiving a query the control device determines using the stored customer record whether an individual has authorized use of his or her image. Based upon the determination a response is sent to the querying device indicating whether the use of the image and/or individual's information is authorized.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2021Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: Cecelumen, LLCInventor: James S Buscemi

Patent number: 11934791Abstract: The present disclosure provides projection neural networks and example applications thereof. In particular, the present disclosure provides a number of different architectures for projection neural networks, including two example architectures which can be referred to as: Self-Governing Neural Networks (SGNNs) and Projection Sequence Networks (ProSeqoNets). Each projection neural network can include one or more projection layers that project an input into a different space. For example, each projection layer can use a set of projection functions to project the input into a bit-space, thereby greatly reducing the dimensionality of the input and enabling computation with lower resource usage. As such, the projection neural networks provided herein are highly useful for on-device inference in resource-constrained devices. For example, the provided SGNN and ProSeqoNet architectures are particularly beneficial for on-device inference such as, for example, solving natural language understanding tasks on-device.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2022Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: GOOGLE LLCInventors: Sujith Ravi, Zornitsa Kozareva

Patent number: 11935599Abstract: A fast burst program sequence that reduces overall NAND flash programming time is disclosed. The burst program sequence includes maintaining a charge pump in an ON state and not fully discharging the WL/BLs at the conclusion of the programming phase of each program operation. As a result, the fast burst program sequence provides total program time savings over an existing cache program sequence by eliminating the full WL/BL discharge and charge pump reset that conventionally occurs after each program operation, which in turn, allows for the transfer of next page data from the page buffer to the data latches to be hidden within the program time of a prior/current program operation.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2022Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: SANDISK TECHNOLOGIES LLCInventors: Hua-Ling Cynthia Hsu, Fanglin Zhang, Victor Avila

Patent number: 11933124Abstract: The present disclosure provides a latch system that is activated internally after installation in a tubular member and requires no external penetration through a wall of the tubular member. The latch system and the tool on which it is installed includes an energizing ring and a lock ring resting on a portion of the tool, where the energizing ring can be pressed toward the lock ring to expand the lock ring radially outward and lock into an internal lock groove in a bore of the tubular member. A self-locking mechanism using corresponding profiles in the components can, with the lock ring expansion, longitudinally lock the energizing ring with the lock ring and lock the energizing ring with the tubular member. The dual locking of the three components locks or otherwise restrains the components together, so that the tool is fixed in a longitudinal position relative to the tubular member.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 2021Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: FALCONVIEW ENERGY PRODUCTS LLCInventor: Hernani G. Patent number: 11935208Abstract: A virtual object system can orchestrate virtual objects defined as a collection of components and with inheritance in an object hierarchy. Virtual object components can include a container, data, a template, and a controller. A container can define the volume the virtual object is authorized to write into. A virtual object's data can specify features such as visual elements, parameters, links to external data, meta-data, etc. The template can define view states of the virtual object and contextual breakpoints for transitioning between them. Each view state can control when and how the virtual object presents data elements. The controller can define logic for the virtual object to respond to input, context, etc. The definition of each object can specify which other object in an object hierarchy that object extends, where extending an object includes inheriting that object's components, which can be modified or overwritten as part of the extension.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2023Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: Meta Platforms Technologies, LLCInventors: Yeliz Karadayi, Wai Leong Chak, Michal Hlavac, Pol Pla I Conesa
