Abstract: In some aspects, the disclosure is directed to methods and systems for automatic context-based annotation by leveraging a priori knowledge from annotations in template documents. A large library of template documents may be generated and pre-processed in many implementations to identify annotations or other inclusions commonly present on documents related to or conforming to the template. Newly scanned documents may be compared to these templates, and when a similar template is identified, annotation locations and types from the template may be applied to the newly scanned document to recognize and classify annotations and inclusions. To increase efficiency and provide scalability, comparisons of scanned documents and template documents may be distributed amongst a plurality of computing devices for processing in parallel, with similarity results aggregated.
Abstract: Methods and systems for separating an object, such as a lead, from formed tissue are provided. Specifically, a tissue slitting apparatus is configured to engage formed tissue at a slitting engagement point. While the object is subjected to a first traction force, the tissue slitting apparatus is caused to move further into the engaged tissue and slit the tissue past the point of engagement. The slitting apparatus causes the tissue to separate along an axial direction of the length of the formed tissue and releases at least some of the force containing the object. The slitting apparatus is supported by a distal end support device configured to lock onto the lead. While supported, a slitting element of the apparatus places fibers of the formed tissue under tension and performs a lifting cut operation. The methods and systems are well suited for use in cardiac pacing or defibrillator lead explant procedures.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for pre-scaling media content to facilitate audience measurement are disclosed. An example method includes encoding a media content sample in accordance with a first encoding configuration and playing the encoded sample. The example method also includes attempting to detect the codes in the sample, and computing a ratio between the codes encoded in the sample and the codes detected when the sample is played.

Abstract: A medical device may include an outer assembly having a first shaft, a first lumen extending through the first shaft, and an atraumatic first tip removably coupled to a distal end of the first shaft; an inner assembly configured to extend through the first lumen of the outer assembly, the inner assembly including a second shaft, a second lumen extending through the second shaft, and a second tip removably coupled to a distal end of the second shaft, the second tip being configured to pierce tissue; and a plug assembly configured to extend through the second lumen of the inner assembly, the plug assembly including a third shaft and a plug removably coupled to a distal end of the third shaft.
Abstract: Methods, system, and apparatuses may support end-to-end (E2E) quality of service (QoS) through the use of service layer (SL) sessions. For example, an application can communicate with a targeted device based on application specified schedule, latency, jitter, error rate, throughput, level of security, and cost requirements.
