  • Patent number: 11862155
Abstract: A method includes a first assistant-enabled device (AED) receiving an assignment instruction assigning a group hotword to a selected group of AEDs that includes the first AED and one or more other AEDs. Each AED is configured to wake-up from a low-power state when the group hotword is detected in streaming audio by at least one of the AEDs. The method also includes receiving audio data that corresponds to an utterance spoken by the user and includes a query that specifies an operation to perform. In response to detecting the group hotword in the audio data, the method also includes triggering the first AED to wake-up from the low-power state and executing a collaboration routine to cause the first AED and each other AED in the selected group of AEDs to collaborate with one another to fulfill performance of the operation specified by the query.

  • Patent number: 11860131
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system with an ultrasonic transducer housing assembly that maintains an acoustic coupling path for spherically focused transducers while allowing the placement of the housing at angles relative to a vertical angle. This invention extends the use of spherically focused transducers into portable systems with significantly reduced system and operational costs for non-destructive testing. The transducer housing assembly features a lens housing with an opening that is sealed with a replaceable fluid-tight membrane defining an acoustic window with acoustic properties similar to those of fluid in the housing and therefore at least translucent to the transducer and causing minimal signal loss. The housing contains minimal fluid to be cleaned up in case of improper use or leakage. The transducer housing also includes an optional surface offset and an ability to adjust the focal point of the transducer relative to the component surface.

  • Patent number: 11863791
Abstract: Methods and systems for non-destructive, stabilization-based encoder optimization. A video item to be provided to one or more users of a platform is identified. An indication of a motion is identified between an initial video frame of a video sequence associated with the video item and a subsequent video frame of the video sequence. One or more motion stabilization transformations are applied to the video item to modify the motion between at least the initial frame and the subsequent frame. Upon applying the one or more motion stabilization transformations to the video item, the video item is encoded. The encoded video item and one or more instructions to cause the client device to reverse the one or more motion stabilization transformations applied to the video item after decoding the encoded video item are transmitted to a client device connected to the platform.

  • Patent number: 11859579
Abstract: A system for multiple burns from a solid fuel rocket motor may extinguish rocket fuel after the rocket has been ignited. The motor may be extinguished via rapid decompression of the combustion chamber. The fuel may then be reignited by a suitable igniter, and the process of extinguishing and reigniting may be repeated, enabling multi-burn maneuvers. A decompressive extinguishing plug nozzle may extinguish solid rocket fuel after the rocket has been ignited and/or keep a rocket in a disarmed (zero thrust) state until the rocket is to be armed. The nozzle may include a plug that mostly impedes the opening of the nozzle and an outer cowl that is movable to rapidly decompress the combustion chamber. This rapid decompression extinguishes the solid rocket fuel. In some aspects, the fuel can be reignited and extinguished multiple times.

  • Patent number: 11860195
Abstract: A non-contact electric potential meter system to determine voltage between an AC conductor and a reference potential without direct electrical contact to the conductor. A housing provides a shielded measurement region that excludes other conductors and holds power supply means; an AC voltage sensing mechanism includes a conductive sense plate and an electrical connection to the reference potential. Waveform-sensing electronic circuitry obtains an AC voltage waveform induced by capacitive coupling between the conductor and the conductive sense plate. Capacitance-determining electronic circuitry obtains a scaling factor based on the coupling capacitance formed between the conductor and the conductive sense plate. Signal processing electronic circuitry uses the AC voltage waveform and the coupling capacitance-based scaling factor to obtain the voltage between the conductor and the reference potential.
