Abstract: Off-center liners can be used with an acetabular cup in hip replacement or revision surgical procedures. The liners (of metal or plastic) can be laterally spaced from the acetabular cup, angled relative to the acetabular cup and/or have an opening that is offset relative to the axis of the acetabular cup. The liners have an orientation indicator that identifies where the liner should be impacted (e.g., impaction location or point) by the impactor to ensure the liner is impacted in a square manner relative to the acetabular cup.
Abstract: The Invention describes photocatalytic reactor systems that employ fluidization of the photocatalyst. These systems are useful for performing chemical transformations on a chemical containing fluid, including for VOCs. Aspects of the invention include non-imaging optics, abrasion resistant coatings and photoreactor designs.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and computer readable media for modeling thermal effects within a multi-laser device. For example, systems described herein may include a plurality of laser devices that output energy streams having corresponding operating windows. One or more systems described herein may include a set of accumulators for tracking quantities of energy samples within operating windows and populating a queue representative of the tracked quantities. One or more systems described herein may additionally include filters and a summing module for determining temperature values for operating windows and synchronizing the temperature values with one another to determine an accurate system temperature for the multi-laser device. The features described herein facilitate synchronization of data for corresponding operating windows to provide an accurate determination of system temperature based on a combination of self-heating and crosstalk effects between multiple laser devices.

Abstract: A system includes a mask configured to forwardly diffract an input beam as a first set of two polarized beams. The system also includes a polarization conversion element configured to convert the first set of two polarized beams into a second set of two polarized beams having opposite handednesses. The two polarized beams having opposite handednesses interfere with one another to generate a polarization interference pattern.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods that apply neural networks such as, for example, convolutional neural networks, to sparse imagery in an improved manner. For example, the systems and methods of the present disclosure can be included in or otherwise leveraged by an autonomous vehicle. In one example, a computing system can extract one or more relevant portions from imagery, where the relevant portions are less than an entirety of the imagery. The computing system can provide the relevant portions of the imagery to a machine-learned convolutional neural network and receive at least one prediction from the machine-learned convolutional neural network based at least in part on the one or more relevant portions of the imagery. Thus, the computing system can skip performing convolutions over regions of the imagery where the imagery is sparse and/or regions of the imagery that are not relevant to the prediction being sought.

Abstract: An e-pen includes e-pen sensor electrodes (including a first and a second e-pen sensor electrode) and drive-sense circuits (DSCs) (including a first DSC and a second DSC. The first DSC drives a first e-pen signal having a first frequency via a first single line coupling to the first e-pen sensor electrode and simultaneously senses, via the first single line, the first e-pen signal. Based on e-pen/touch sensor device interaction, the first e-pen signal is coupled into at least one touch sensor electrode of the touch sensor device. The first DSC process the first e-pen signal to generate a first digital signal representative of a first electrical characteristic of the first e-pen sensor electrode. Similarly, the second DSC drives a second e-pen signal having a second frequency via a second single line coupling to the second e-pen sensor electrode and simultaneously senses, via the second single line, the second e-pen signal.

Abstract: An apparatus, method, and computer-readable recording medium perform client access delegation for a network device in a wireless network. A network controller of a gateway device receives a super-user client device authorization from the network admin client device, connects the super-user client device to the gateway device, receives a second-party client device access authorization from the super-user client device, and connects the second-party client device to the gateway device. The network controller of the gateway device also allocates a portion of available network bandwidth to a second group of client devices, monitors bandwidth consumption by the second group of users, and limits the bandwidth consumption of the second group of users to the allocated portion of the available bandwidth.

Abstract: A flanged fitting includes an annular fitting flange having an annular end face. A glass liner lines a radially inner annular portion of the annular end face of the annular fitting flange. A radially outer annular portion of the annular end face of the annular fitting flange is free from the glass liner. The radially inner annular portion and the radially outer annular portion of the annular end face of the annular fitting flange define an annular gasket abutment face configured to seat a gasket thereon. An annular gasket includes an annular gasket layer. The annular gasket layer includes a radially inner annular gasket segment including a first material suitable for forming a liquid-tight seal with an opposing flange. A radially outer annular gasket segment surrounds the radially inner annular gasket segment. The radially outer annular gasket segment is fire-rated for forming a fire-rated seal with the opposing flange.
