Abstract: A method of fabricating a lens includes dispensing a first liquid optically-transmissive material into a first mold cavity and then curing the first liquid optically-transmissive material to form a first region the lens having a first refractive index and an optical interface surface. A second liquid optically-transmissive material then dispensed into a second mold cavity over the optical interface surface while the first region of the lens is disposed within the second mold cavity. The second liquid optically-transmissive material in the second mold cavity is cured to form a second region of the lens having a second refractive index. An optical interface between the first region and the second region conforms to the optical interface surface.

Abstract: Compositions and methods for combination therapy are provided. The compositions comprise a multiple unit dosage form having both a therapeutic agent and a nutritional supplement. The combination therapy is useful for restoring a nutrient depletion associated with a particular disease state. Additionally, the combination therapy can prevent or attenuate the depletion of a nutrient caused, in whole or in part, by the co-administrated therapeutic drug. Methods of manufacturing the formulations are likewise described.
Abstract: An exemplary rotation converter includes an input component, an output component, and an intermediate component engaged between the input component and the output component. The input component is rotatable from an input component home position in each of a first direction and an opposite second direction. The intermediate component is configured to move to an actuated position in response to rotation of the input component in either direction, and to rotate the output component in an actuating direction as the intermediate component moves to the actuated position.

Abstract: A collapsible, deformable container and dispensing apparatus is disclosed herein. The deformable container includes an end wall section; a first annular wall section connected to the end wall section; a curved wall section connected to the first annular wall section; and a second annular wall section connected to the first annular wall section via the curved wall section, the second annular wall circumscribing a central void. Upon extrusion of a dispensable product from the deformable container by a force exerted upon the end wall section, the curved wall section is configured to deform into the central void circumscribed by the second annular wall section, and the first annular wall section is configured to deform into and invert within the central void circumscribed by the second annular wall section. The dispensing apparatus includes a container removal component for removing the deformable container after a dispensable product has been extracted therefrom.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to collect impressions using media object characteristics are disclosed. An example apparatus includes an impressions monitor to receive a communication from a collector media object presented at a client device. The communication includes a first characteristic corresponding to the collector media object, and second characteristics respectively corresponding to a plurality of second media objects concurrently presented with the collector media object. The example apparatus further includes an attributor to associate demographic information with the first and second characteristics based on the first and second characteristics being received in the same communication from the client device.
Abstract: Systems and methods that provide improved cooling for batteries are disclosed. A battery system according to the present disclosure may include a cooling plate, one or more battery cells coupled to one surface of the cooling plate, and one or more battery cells coupled to the opposite surface of the cooling plate. The cooling plate and corresponding batteries may be included in a battery module, and multiple battery modules electrically connected may make up a battery pack. The cooling plates may comprise channels for cooling fluid, which may be provided to the plates in parallel from a cooling fluid source. Cooling the battery cells at the ends of the cells, where they are coupled to the cooling plate, may advantageously provide one or more of improved energy density, thermal management, and safety.

Abstract: Inferring source code structure based on indentation. A portion of source code comprising a plurality of lines is identified, and a corresponding indentation level for each line is determined. A plurality of nodes, each representing a different line in the plurality of lines are generated. The nodes are arranged into an ordered tree based on the corresponding indentation level for each line. Based on an identified line in the plurality of lines, a subset of the plurality of lines are identified from the ordered tree, based on identifying a subtree that comprises a node representing the identified line. A source code action is initiated based on the subset of the plurality of lines.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for detecting anomalous access to system resources. An anomaly detection system may access system events from one or more computing devices and may generate entries from the system events. Each entry may include a corresponding timestamp indicating a time when a corresponding system event occurred, a corresponding user identifier indicating a user account within a computing environment associated with the corresponding system event, a corresponding location identifier indicating a location within the computing environment, and a corresponding action identifier indicating an action that the user account performed with respect to the location or an object within the computing environment. The generated entries may be aggregated and input into an anomaly detection model to obtain anomalous activity identified by the model.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system and method for providing dynamic remediation of a pluggable streaming device issue, such as a customer premises equipment (CPE) device. Sometimes, various features of the CPE device to begin to fail. For example, synchronization of the audio and video streams may drift, media rental purchases may time out, or playback may throttle to low quality. Such failures can be caused by device or network issues. The present disclosure describes a CPE remediation system that operates to identify a failure associated with playing media streamed by the CPE device. The CPE remediation system may further determine a solution to remediate an observed CPE device-related failure. In some examples, the CPE remediation process may further provide or perform one or more actions included in the determined solution. In some examples, the solution may include a warm or a cold reboot.
Abstract: A power switch adapted to provide power to a device is described. The power switch comprises a prong of a plurality of prongs adapted to receive the power; a receptacle adapted to receive a plug of the device receiving the power; a user interface comprising a microphone; and a control circuit coupled to the user interface; wherein the control circuit controls the application of the power to the receptacle in response to the detection of a voice of a user of the power switch.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques for structured light pattern generation. A method for generating a one-dimensional structured light pattern in a first direction and with a desired intensity pattern includes generating a plurality of one-dimensional light patterns using a two-dimensional diffractive optical element with different periods in two orthogonal directions, and combining the plurality of one-dimensional light patterns to form the one-dimensional structured light pattern with the desired intensity pattern. Each of the one-dimensional light patterns includes a one-dimensional light pattern in the first direction. The plurality of one-dimensional light patterns is distributed in a second direction different from the first direction. A separation angle between each pair of adjacent one-dimensional light patterns of the plurality of one-dimensional light patterns in the second direction and with respect to the two-dimensional diffractive optical element is less than a threshold value.
