  • Patent number: 11836344
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure enable context-aware haptic error notifications. The systems and methods include a processor to receive input segments into a software application from a character input component and determine a destination. A context identification model predicts a context classification of the input segments based at least in part on the software application and the destination. Potential errors are determined in the input segments based on the context classification. An error characterization machine learning model determines an error type classification and an error severity score associated with each potential error and a haptic feedback pattern is determined for each potential error based on the error type classification and the error severity score of each potential error of the one or more potential errors. And a haptic event latency is determined based on the error type classification and the error severity score of each potential error.

  • Patent number: 11838127
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for improving adaptive satellite communication. In some implementations, a method includes receiving, by a receiver and from a transmitter, code blocks transmitted according to a first set of parameters that comprises one or more of a first modulation used to transmit the code blocks or a first coding used to encode the code blocks for transmission. A number of corrupted code blocks and a number of parity blocks in a series of the code blocks received are determined. The number of corrupted code blocks are compared with the number of parity blocks. A second set of parameters are determined based on the comparison of the number of corrupted code blocks with the number of parity blocks. The second set of parameters are communicated to the transmitter for subsequent transmissions.

  • Patent number: 11834093
Abstract: Various implementations include a light bar system for a steering wheel of a vehicle that includes a high intensity light source, a light diffusing layer, and an outer lens. For example, in certain implementations, the light diffusing layer is disposed between a plurality of high intensity light emitting diodes (LEDs) and an outer lens, and the light diffusing layer causes the light from the LEDs to appear as a continuous stream of light across a length of the lens and provides sufficiently bright lighting to warn or communicate with the driver in various ambient lighting conditions. In certain implementations, the outer lens is colored to blend in with the rest of the steering wheel when the LEDs are not activated.

  • Patent number: 11836250
Abstract: Mitigation of attack vectors that persist elevated permissions within a computing environment. Mitigated attack vectors may be configured to respond to a trigger by generating computing resources with a built-in vulnerability. Mitigated attack vectors may elevate permissions of the computing resources to some heightened level which the malicious actor had previously gained. For example, if the malicious actor had breached a user account having administrator privileges, the attack vector may respond to the trigger by creating the virtual machine and then linking the virtual machine to a service principal having the administrator-level permissions. Left unmitigated the attack vector would enable the malicious actor to regain “administrator-level” privileges even after access to the user account is halted.

  • Patent number: 11837019
Abstract: Systems and methods for evaluating face recognition algorithms in view of image classification features affected by smart makeup are provided. Increasingly, face recognition technology is being used in applications beyond biometric identification for authentication/login purposes. Face recognition technology has been deployed as part of surveillance cameras, which may capture facial images that can be used as evidence of criminal conduct in a court of law. While admissibility of such evidence is subject to the rules of evidence used for any other piece of evidence, reliance on such face recognition technology poses challenges. Until these face recognition algorithms become properly trained and are deployed in a manner that does not result in false positives in the context of policing and judiciary, other solutions are needed. Smart makeup will improve the usage of this technology that has traditionally had a higher false positive identification rate for people of color and women.

  • Patent number: 11837230
Abstract: Network source identification via audio signals is provided. A system receives data packets with an input audio signal from a client device. The system identifies a request. The system selects a digital component provided by a digital component provider device. The system identifies audio chimes stored in memory of the client device. The system matches, based on a policy, an identifier of the digital component provider device to a first audio chime stored in the memory of the client device. The system determines, based on a characteristic of the first audio chime, a configuration to combine the digital component with the first audio chime. The system generates an action data structure with the digital component, an indication of the first audio chime, and the configuration. The system transmits the action data structure to the client device to cause the client device to generate an output audio signal.

  • Patent number: 11835354
Abstract: To provide personalized data for display on a map, a server device obtains location data for a user and identifies locations that are familiar to the user based on the frequency and recency in which the user visits the locations. The server device then provides the familiar locations in search results/suggestions and annotates the familiar locations with a description of a relationship between the familiar location and the user. The server device also includes the familiar locations as landmarks for performing maneuvers in a set of navigation instructions. Furthermore, the server device provides a familiar location as a frame of reference on a map display when a user selects another location nearby the familiar location. Moreover, the server device includes a familiar location as an intermediate destination when the user request navigation directions to a final destination.
