Abstract: A computing device includes signal generation circuitry and also includes a location on the computing device that is operative to couple a signal generated by the signal generation circuitry into a user. For example, the computing device includes signal generation circuitry that generates a signal that includes information corresponding to a user and/or an application that is operative within the computing device. The signal generation circuitry couples the signal into the user from a location on the computing device based on a bodily portion of the user being in contact with or within sufficient proximity to the location on the computing device that facilitates coupling of the signal into the user. Also, the signal may be coupled via the user to another computing device that includes a touchscreen display that is operative to detect and receive the signal.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are safety and other controls for chain saws, feedback for use with chain saws, cutting variations in chain saws, and accessories for use with chain saws. In one example, a system comprises a chain saw, a sensor for detecting a condition, and a control system programmed to take an action upon detection of a programmed condition. The chain saw may comprise links with engaging hooks and recesses for articulation without decoupling. The saw bar may comprise a rail, and the links may have grooves such that the links straddle the rail. In one example, a sensor may comprise an image sensor, and a condition detected by the sensor may comprise a position of the chain saw. The control system may be programmed to take action such as to stop or direct movement of the chain saw and/or to produce a perceptible signal.

Abstract: A communications panel includes a chassis receiving one or more tray arrangements that each support one or more cassettes. Each cassette carries a plurality of ports at which connections are made between front and rear plug connectors. Each tray arrangement includes guides along which the cassettes slidably mount. The guides and cassettes are configured to enable cassettes of various size to mount to the same tray without reconfiguring the guides.

Abstract: A disposable article infused with an insect repellant and method of making the same. The disposable article includes an outer, water absorbent layer, an inner, waterproof layer and an insect repellant applied to the outer layer. The disposable article can be fabric gowns, shoe-covers, leg coverings, hand coverings, arm coverings, head coverings, body coverings, face coverings, full body coverings and chuck pads. In certain embodiments, the outer, water absorbent layer is spun-bonded polypropylene. In other embodiments, the outer, water absorbent layer is spun-bonded polyester. The inner, waterproof layer can be cast polyethylene. The insect repellant can include an effective amount of DEET (N,N-diethyl-meta-toluamide), OLE (oil of lemon eucalyptus) and essential oils alone or in combination.

Abstract: A processor may receive data and generate a quantified representation of the data by processing the data using at least one machine learning (ML) algorithm, the quantified representation of the data indicating a sentiment of content of the data. The processor may automatically revise the content of the communications data. The revising may include determining a reaction to the content of the communications data, generating a quantified representation of the reaction, determining a difference between the quantified representation of the reaction and the quantified representation of the communications data, identifying, based on the difference, a portion of the content having an unintended sentiment, and replacing the portion of the content with different content.

The molding process is configured to form a continuous exterior skin of the board, to resist water ingression, the exterior skin including one or more purchase surface areas, each purchase surface area including a plurality of protrusion clusters, each protrusion cluster formed by controlled extrusion of the EPP foam into steam vents distributed in a predefined pattern within the mold cavity to form steam vent markings. The molding process is configured such that selected areas of the board surface are contoured for undisrupted water flow over the board and to resist breakage or chipping in use.

Abstract: A transformer-transducer model for unifying streaming and non-streaming speech recognition includes an audio encoder, a label encoder, and a joint network. The audio encoder receives a sequence of acoustic frames, and generates, at each of a plurality of time steps, a higher order feature representation for a corresponding acoustic frame. The label encoder receives a sequence of non-blank symbols output by a final softmax layer, and generates, at each of the plurality of time steps, a dense representation. The joint network receives the higher order feature representation and the dense representation at each of the plurality of time steps, and generates a probability distribution over possible speech recognition hypothesis. The audio encoder of the model further includes a neural network having an initial stack of transformer layers trained with zero look ahead audio context, and a final stack of transformer layers trained with a variable look ahead audio context.

Abstract: An air filter assembly includes a housing having an interior surface that defines an interior volume, a filter element positioned within the interior volume and having a filter media, an air intake formed in the housing, a debris outlet formed in the housing, a filtered air outlet formed in the housing, and a plurality of ribs. The filter element is spaced from the interior surface so that a gap is formed between the filter element and the interior surface to allow air to flow between the filter element and the interior surface. The plurality of ribs extend into the interior volume of the housing so that air flowing from the air intake is directed into the gap and around the filter element to complete a cyclonic filtering pass before flowing along a second airflow pass through the filter element. The outlet passage is configured to direct filtered air into a third airflow pass in a direction opposite to the second airflow pass.
