Abstract: An imaging system and methods including a gantry defining a bore and an imaging axis extending through the bore, and at least one support member that supports the gantry such that the imaging axis has a generally vertical orientation, where the gantry is displaceable with respect to the at least one support member in a generally vertical direction. The imaging system may be configured to obtain a vertical imaging scan (e.g., a helical x-ray CT scan), of a patient in a weight-bearing position. The gantry may be rotatable between a first position, in which the gantry is supported such that the imaging axis has a generally vertical orientation, and a second position, such that the imaging axis has a generally horizontal orientation. The gantry may be displaceable in a horizontal direction and the system may perform a horizontal scan of a patient or object positioned within the bore.

Abstract: Systems and methods for enhanced OTP messaging, comprising: receiving a request from an application executing on a computing device of a user; generating the supplemental information based on the request; segmenting the supplemental information into a first part of the supplemental information and a second part of the supplemental information; transmitting the first part of the supplemental information to the computing device of the user via a first communication channel to another app executing on the computing device of the user; instructing the another app to allow the user to utilize one or more graphical user interface (GUI) elements of a GUI of the another app to transfer the first part of the supplemental information to the app; and transmitting the second part of the supplemental information to the computing device of the user via a second communication channel so as to provide the supplemental information to the app.

Abstract: A mount for a handheld electronic device is adapted to be attached to a flat vertical glossy environmental surface, such as a mirror, with suction cups. A shelf with an upwardly concave center section holds electronic devices of various sizes and will hold an electronic device in a vertical orientation even if the mount is attached to the mirror at a small angle to the vertical. The shelf may hold the electronic device in either portrait or landscape orientation. The shelf permits a cable to be plugged into the bottom of the electronic device by being routed through a central notch in the shelf and an opening in a lip.

Abstract: A building framework is disclosed herein comprising a first structural member, a second structural member, and a third structural member disposed between the first and second structural members, a first web member connecting the first and third structural members in a spaced apart relationship, and a second web member connecting the second and third structural members in a spaced apart relationship. The first web member is positioned relative to the second web member such that the shortest distance between the first web member and second web member is greater than or equal to 5 times the thickness of the third structural member. Abstract: An automated container cutting system for cutting a container includes a cutting platform and a cutting tool held by the cutting platform. The cutting tool is configured to cut the container. The automated container cutting system includes a force feedback sensor operatively connected to the cutting tool such that the force feedback sensor is configured to measure resistive force exerted on the cutting tool. The automated container cutting system includes at least one processor communicatively coupled to the force feedback sensor. The processor is configured to receive resistive force data from the force feedback sensor. The resistive force data represents resistive force exerted on the cutting tool as the cutting tool pierces a wall of the container. The at least one processor is configured to determine whether the cutting tool has penetrated through the wall of the container using the received resistive force data.

Abstract: An acoustic shield system is described that is suitable for musical performances. In one example, a side wall is configured to surround a portion of an edge of a cymbal opposite a percussionist to reflect sound back toward the cymbal and toward the percussionist. The side wall has a top edge above the cymbal and a bottom edge below the cymbal. A substantially flat top plate is attached to the top edge of the side wall and extends from the side wall over and across the center of the cymbal. A substantially flat bottom plate is attached to the bottom edge of the side wall and extends from the side wall under and across the center of the cymbal. The bottom plate is parallel to the top plate. The bottom plate and the top plate are spaced to accommodate regular movement of the cymbal when struck.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for transcribing an utterance includes receiving, at a computing system, speech data that characterizes an utterance of a user. A first set of candidate transcriptions of the utterance can be generated using a static class-based language model that includes a plurality of classes that are each populated with class-based terms selected independently of the utterance or the user. The computing system can then determine whether the first set of candidate transcriptions includes class-based terms. Based on whether the first set of candidate transcriptions includes class-based terms, the computing system can determine whether to generate a dynamic class-based language model that includes at least one class that is populated with class-based terms selected based on a context associated with at least one of the utterance and the user.

One of the methods includes receiving data characterizing an input image; processing the data characterizing the input image using a deep neural network to generate an alternative representation of the input image, wherein the deep neural network comprises a plurality of subnetworks, wherein the subnetworks are arranged in a sequence from lowest to highest, and wherein processing the data characterizing the input image using the deep neural network comprises processing the data through each of the subnetworks in the sequence; and processing the alternative representation of the input image through an output layer to generate an output from the input image.

Abstract: An inrush current limiting circuit in aspects of the present disclosure may have one or more of the following features: a printed circuit board, an electrical input disposed on the circuit board, one or more electrical outputs disposed on the circuit board, a current limiting circuit connected between the electrical input and the one or more electrical outputs, at least one microcontroller connected within the current limiting circuit, at least one current sensor connected within the current limiting circuit, one or more current limiting components within the current limiting circuit for increasing voltage and current over time from the electrical input to the one or more electrical outputs by operation of the current sensor and the microcontroller.

Abstract: Aspects described herein may use a machine learning model to identify transactions likely to be remembered by a user and that may be used to generate challenge questions to authenticate the user. An individual may request an action related to a financial account. In response to the request, the machine learning model may determine a likelihood an authorized user of the financial account will remember one or more recent transactions. The likelihood of each candidate transaction may be compared to a predetermined threshold to determine a subset of recent transactions. Information relating to the subset of recent transactions may be used to generate one or more challenge questions to pose to the user. The user's responses to the challenge questions may be used to evaluate whether the user is the authorized user of the financial account or is a fraudster or imposter.

Abstract: An ophthalmic device includes a housing configured to hold an injectant chamber configured to store an injectant, a plunger disposed within the injectant chamber, and a stopper coupled to a distal portion of the plunger. The device also includes a hypodermic needle disposed at a distal end of the housing, and a sample chamber located within the housing adjacent to the distal end. The housing, hypodermic needle, and sample chamber are arranged such that when the stopper is moved to a first depth within the housing, the sample chamber is configured to receive material via the hypodermic needle. The housing, hypodermic needle, and sample chamber are also arranged such that when the stopper is moved to a second depth within the housing exceeding the first depth, the injectant chamber is configured to dispense the injectant through the hypodermic needle.

Abstract: Methods of the present disclosure may also identify when certain users perform well at certain activities and perform poorly when performing other activities. A particular user could perform very well at a swimming game yet perform poorly at the first-person shooter game. This performance difference may be based on a physical impairment, be based on a lack of training, or be based on other factors. When a potential performance deficiency is identified, a user may be provided with a set of selections that allow the user to participate in a training session or that may allow the user to change functions of a gaming controller to account for the apparent performance deficiency. This additional training or change in controller functions may allow a user to have a more enjoyable user experience or may allow the user to perform at a higher level.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices are disclosed for synchronizing map updates for a navigating autonomous vehicle. A management service on a managing node can receive an update to a portion of a first map, where a limited visibility map, which is a subset of the first map, can be determined based on a geographical area around an autonomous vehicle navigating a route. The limited visibility map can be synchronized among all the nodes while the autonomous vehicle is using the limited visibility map by the management service delivering, to a plurality of downstream nodes, the update to the limited visibility map when the update does not modify a portion of the limited visibility map, and by bypassing, to the plurality of downstream nodes, the update to the limited visibility map when the update modifies a portion of the limited visibility map.

Abstract: A spring actuated rocking mechanism can be attached to the legs of a collapsible chair to allow for the user to rock in the collapsible chair. The mechanism may be attached at the factory or retrofitted to the chair. The rocking mechanism can be attached to the end of a leg or disposed within a leg, having a leg portion above and below the mechanism.

Abstract: A probe assembly for inserting a probe into a vessel or tubing includes a probe sheath having a proximal end and a distal end and being configured for operative coupling to a vessel or tubing, the probe sheath being configured to receive a probe and to permit movement of the probe towards the distal end of the probe sheath, and a locking mechanism configured to restrain longitudinal movement of the probe with respect to the sheath in a locked state. The locking mechanism may be unlocked to allow for movement of the probe with respect to the sheath.

Abstract: A stimulus indicating device is disclosed. The stimulus indicating device includes a stimulus sensitive amphiphilic gel; and an assembly having a first end and a second end. The assembly may include a top layer, a middle layer comprised of a porous polymer membrane, and a bottom layer. The top layer and the bottom layer may be sealed together on opposing sides of the assembly, and the top layer and the bottom layer may be sealed at the width of the second end of the assembly.

Abstract: Implementations are directed to utilizing an assistant to automatically navigate an interactive voice response (IVR) tree to arrive at a target state during an assisted telephone call. The assistant can receive input to initiate the assisted telephone call, identify an entity to engage with, on behalf of the user, and during the assisted telephone call, based on the input, and identify an IVR tree stored in association with the entity. In various implementations, navigation of the IVR tree can be modified based on interaction(s) detected at a client device subsequent to initiating the assisted telephone call. In various implementations, the assisted telephone call can be initiated from a search interface, and the target state can be associated with a given search result. In various implementations, the IVR tree can be dynamic in that only a subset of candidate state(s) of the IVR tree may be available as the target state.
