  • Patent number: 11788152
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods, non-transitory computer readable media, systems, and kits for performing a multiple tiered analysis for identifying individuals with a health condition for monitoring, treating, and/or enrolling the individuals in a clinical trial. Specifically, the multiple tiered analysis involves a first screen, which eliminates a large proportion of individuals who are identified as not at risk for a health condition, and a subsequent second analysis which detects presence of a health condition in the remaining individuals. The second analysis includes an intra-individual analysis, which involves combining sequence information from target nucleic acids and reference nucleic acids obtained from the individual. The target nucleic acids include signatures that may be informative for determining presence or absence of the health condition and the reference nucleic acids include baseline biological signatures of the individual.

  • Patent number: 11788463
Abstract: This invention relates to cleaning the induction systems, the combustion chambers and exhaust systems of internal combustion engines. And, more particularly, to chemicals and mixtures of chemicals for removing the different types of carbon deposits encountered in internal combustion engines used in “road vehicles”. Carbon deposits were taken from the induction systems of these road vehicles for the purpose of bench testing such carbon and product development. More specifically, chemicals (i.e., solvents) and chemical mixes (i.e., solutions) have been accurately tested on such harvested carbon deposits for their ability to remove the various types of carbon deposits that accumulate within road vehicle internal combustion engines. Additionally this invention also relates to apparatus for delivering chemicals and chemical mixes.

  • Patent number: 11789123
Abstract: Example embodiments relate to beam homogenization for occlusion avoidance. One embodiment includes a light detection and ranging (LIDAR) device. The LIDAR device includes a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter includes a light emitter. The light emitter emits light that diverges along a fast-axis and a slow-axis. The transmitter also includes a fast-axis collimation (FAC) lens optically coupled to the light emitter. The FAC lens is configured to receive light emitted by the light emitter and reduce a divergence of the received light along the fast-axis of the light emitter to provide reduced-divergence light. The transmitter further includes a transmit lens optically coupled to the FAC lens. The transmit lens is configured to receive the reduced-divergence light from the FAC lens and provide transmit light. The FAC lens is positioned relative to the light emitter such that the reduced-divergence light is expanded at the transmit lens.

  • Patent number: 11789938
Abstract: The present technology proposes techniques for ensuring globally consistent transactions. This technology may allow distributed systems to ensure the causal order of read and write transactions across different partitions of a distributed database. By assigning causally generated timestamps to the transactions based on one or more globally coherent time services, the timestamps can be used to preserve and represent the causal order of the transactions in the distributed system. In this regard, certain transactions may wait for a period of time after choosing a timestamp in order to delay the start of any second transaction that might depend on it. The wait may ensure that the effects of the first transaction are not made visible until its timestamp is guaranteed to be in the past. This may ensure that a consistent snapshot of the distributed database can be determined for any past timestamp.

  • Patent number: 11791231
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems for applying a compression load on at least part of an application specific integrated circuit (“ASIC”) ball grid array (“BGA”) package during the rework or secondary reflow process. The compression-loading assembly may include a top plate and a compression plate. The compression plate may exert a compression load on at least part of the ASIC using one or more compression mechanisms. The compression mechanisms may each include a bolt and a spring. The bolt may releasably couple the top plate to the compression plate and allow for adjustments to the compression load. The spring may be positioned on the bolt between the top plate and the compression plate and, therefore, may exert a force in a direction away from the top plate and toward the compression plate. The compression load may retain the solder joint and may prevent the solder separation defect during the reflow process.

  • Patent number: 11788352
Abstract: A ladder and ladder accessory are provided including an accessory that may be coupled to the ladder in multiple configurations and serve multiple purposes. In one embodiment, a pair of components are each selectively coupled with associated rails of a ladder in a first, stored state, and a second, walkthrough state. When in the walkthrough state, the components extend upwards from and above the rails so that a user may gasp the components and step between the components when transitioning from the ladder to an elevated surface (e.g., a roof) or vice versa. In another embodiment, the components may be coupled to the ladder such that they extend in a direction that is substantially transverse to a plane through which the rails extend. When in this transverse orientation, the components may be used as a stand-off device.
