  • Patent number: 11775061
Abstract: Technologies for detecting user input based upon computed gaze of a user are described herein. With more specificity, a computing system receives an initiation command, where the initiation command indicates that the user desires to set forth input by way of gaze. Gaze points are then computed based upon images generated by a camera of the computing system; based upon such gaze points, a portion of the content is progressively enlarged. When the gaze point corresponds to a position in the content desirably selected by the user (when the portion of the content is enlarged), a selection command from the user is received. Upon receipt of the selection command, the computing system performs a computing operation with respect to the position of the content.

  • Patent number: 11775525
Abstract: A database system is operable to generate a plurality of segment row data from a plurality of records received for storage. The plurality of segment row data is stored via a first storage mechanism corresponding to a first durability level. Storage of the plurality of segment row data via a second storage mechanism corresponding to a second durability level that is more durable than the first durability level is facilitated. Execution of a plurality of queries against the dataset is facilitated by accessing the plurality of segment row data via the first storage mechanism. A failure of storage of one of the plurality of segment row data via the first storage mechanism is detected. The one of the plurality of segment row data is recovered for storage via the first storage mechanism based on accessing at least one of the plurality of segment row data via the second storage mechanism.

  • Patent number: 11776011
Abstract: The disclosed subject matter relates to a system and method for selecting/recommending ads based on a contextual bandit approach. The disclosed approach leverages various embedding vectors of item, search, page taxonomy trained based on traffic data via advanced deep learning models, and uses model signals (e.g. historical CTR, item price, rating, quality) from other ad placements. The learning mechanism on top of the current methodology to automatic chooses the best feature sets and adjust model performance over time. The contextual bandit model performs better with respect to CTR than the Thompson Sampling model, and achieves lower regret and faster convergence over time.

  • Patent number: 11775293
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for deploying a static code analyzer based on program synthesis from input-output examples. A computer system uses program synthesis on a set of input-output examples of source code edits to generate a rewrite rule that defines a transformation pattern. Based on a determined static code analyzer format, the computer system generates a static code analyzer from the rewrite rule. The static code analyzer includes a find portion that indicates a matching condition for identifying a portion of source code text, and a fix portion that indicates a textual replacement to apply to the portion of source code text matched by the find portion. • Patent number: 11775937
Abstract: A system and method for workforce scheduling using dynamic capacity ranges are provided. A capacity model associates distances of locations within a service area from a depot with a series of appointment time windows such that appointment time windows having a relatively greater amount of available worker capacity are associated with a greater range of distances than appointment time windows having a relatively smaller amount of available worker capacity. After a distance from the depot to a location of an appointment to be scheduled is determined, appointment time window suggestions are automatically produced based on which appointment time windows as defined in the capacity model are associated with the location of the appointment to be scheduled. As capacity changes due to bookings, the capacity model is dynamically updated. A system and method for workforce routing, based at least in part on using dynamic capacity ranges, are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11777884
Abstract: Traditional messaging applications (such as email, social networking platforms, text, instant messaging, chat, etc.) are ill-equipped for collaboration. For instance, a sender and recipients corresponding regarding a topic are often required to exchange multiple messages. As a result, determining a consensus regarding the topic or summarizing the collaboration is difficult and cumbersome. Moreover, when links are included in messages, recipients are required to navigate away from the messaging application to view the linked content. A messaging application is provided that may be configured to enable users to dynamically collaborate regarding links or data within a sent message or a receive message. In aspects, a collaborative user experience (UX) is provided, which may be an interface within a message that enables real-time collaboration between a sender and one or more recipients regarding message content—without exchanging additional messages or navigating away from the messaging application.
