  • Patent number: 11694364
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for approximating a 5-angle color difference model are provided, where the 5-angle color difference model utilizes a 5-angle equation. In an exemplary embodiment, an apparatus includes a storage device for storing instructions and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions. The processor(s) are configured to receive 3-angle standard and test color measurements, and enter the 3-angle standard measurement into a neural network empirical model. The neural network empirical model includes a plurality of input nodes, a plurality of hidden nodes connected to the input nodes, and a plurality of output nodes connected to the hidden nodes. The neural network empirical model is configured to output 3-angle tolerance values, and to calculate a 3-angle color difference value using the 5-angle equation for at least one of the 3 color measurement angles using the 3-angle standard and test color measurements and the 3-angle tolerance values.

  • Patent number: 11696049
Abstract: A system for dark current compensation in SPAD imagery is configurable to capture an image frame with the SPAD array and generate a temporally filtered image by performing a temporal filtering operation using the image frame and at least one preceding image frame. The at least one preceding image frame is captured by the SPAD array at a timepoint that temporally precedes a timepoint associated with the image frame. The system is also configurable to obtain a dark current image frame. The dark current image frame includes data indicating one or more SPAD pixels of the plurality of SPAD pixels that detect an avalanche event without detecting a corresponding photon. The system is also configurable to generate a dark current compensated image by performing a subtraction operation on the temporally filtered image or the image frame based on the dark current image frame.

  • Patent number: 11695652
Abstract: Detect, at a cable/fiber broadband network termination unit of a cable/fiber broadband multi-service operator, an interruption in service to a cable/fiber broadband network customer unit—small cell pair. Responsive to detecting the interruption, the termination unit advises a charging server of the operator of the interruption in service, a corresponding identifier of the customer unit—small cell pair, and a corresponding account identifier. Responsive to termination unit advising the charging server, the charging server advises a backend server of an associated cellular network of a customer identifier corresponding to the account identifier. Responsive to the charging server advising the backend server, the backend server advises a policy control function of the associated cellular network to modify network parameters of the associated cellular network to compensate for the interruption in service.

  • Patent number: 11693894
Abstract: In implementations of the subject matter described herein, a new approach for presenting a response to a message in a conversation is proposed. Generally speaking, in response to receiving a message in a conversation, the received message will be matched with one or more documents on the sentence basis. That is, the received message is compared with the sentences from a document(s), rather than predefined query-response pairs. In this way, a whole sentence may be selected from the document as a candidate response. Then the suitability of this sentence with respect to the ongoing conversation will be determined, and the response will be generated and rendered in an adaptive way based on the suitability. As a result, the user experiences may be significantly enhanced in the chatbot scenario.

  • Patent number: 11694644
Abstract: Methods for driving an electrophoretic medium including two pairs of oppositely charged particles. The first pair including a first type of positive particles and a first type of negative particles and the second pair consists of a second type of positive particles and a second type of negative particles, wherein the first pair of particles and the second pair of particles have different charge magnitudes (identifiable as zeta potentials). In particular, the driving methods produce cleaner optical stakes of the lesser-charged particles with less contamination from the other particles and more consistent electro-optical performance when the intermediate driving voltages are modified.

  • Patent number: 11696239
Abstract: A primary wireless access node wirelessly transmits reference signals at an initial reference signal power level. The primary wireless access node exchanges data with User Equipment (UEs) and exchanges the data with other network elements. The primary wireless access node exchanges signaling with secondary wireless access nodes. The secondary wireless access nodes exchange data between the UEs and the network elements responsive to the signaling. The primary wireless access node determines the amount of the secondary nodes and determines a new reference signal power level based on the amount of the secondary nodes. The primary wireless access node wirelessly transmits subsequent reference signals at the new reference power level.

  • Patent number: 11690418
Abstract: A hood for a hooded garment may include apertures in the hood to improve a sealing connection between headphone earpieces and the outer portion of the user's ears while using headphones while also maintaining the hood's ability to retain body heat when not using headphones. While using the hood with headphones, the apertures may improve the sealing connection between the headphone earpieces and the user's ears and, thus, improve the function of the headphones (e.g., sound translation or sound deadening). While using the hood without headphones, a portion of mesh fabric sewn into the hood over the apertures allows the hood to retain the user's body heat and thereby mitigate heat loss through the hood caused by the apertures.

  • Patent number: 11696320
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a method, apparatus and computer medium for switching a user terminal, and an access point. The method may be performed by an access point capable of operating in at least a first band and a second band, and comprises the following steps: in response to determining that a user terminal being in the first band of the access point satisfies a condition for inter-band switching, measuring a communication performance of the user terminal in the first band as a first metric; after the user terminal is switched from the first band to the second band of the access point, measuring a communication performance of the user terminal in the second band as a second metric; and causing the user terminal to be in the band associated with a better one of the first metric and the second metric.
