Abstract: To help reduce program disturbs in non-selected NAND strings of a non-volatile memory, a sub-block based boosting scheme in introduced. For a three dimensional NAND memory structure, in which the memory cells above a joint region form an upper sub-block and memory cells below the joint region form a lower sub-block, dummy word lines in the joint region act as select gates to allow boosting at the sub-block level when the lower block is being programmed in a reverse order.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments may include a system that may receive first level authentication data from a first user, identify a first user device associated with the first user, and determine whether a current location of the first user device is within a predetermined proximity of a first computing device. In response to the determination, the system may detect one or more objects within the predetermined proximity of the first computing device using the one or more positional sensors. The system may determine that at least one of the one or more objects is associated with a human, and in response, trigger a security measure. The system may transmit an indication of the triggered security measure to the first computing device, and may transmit instructions to the first user device configured to cause the first user device to provide an alert to the first user.
Abstract: A geolocationing system and method for providing awareness in a multi-space environment, such as a hospitality environment or educational environment, are presented. In one embodiment of the geolocationing system, a vertical and horizontal array of gateway devices is provided. Each gateway device includes a gateway device identification providing an accurately-known fixed location within the multi-space environment. Each gateway device includes a wireless transceiver that receives a beacon signal from a proximate wireless-enabled personal locator device. The gateway devices, in turn, send gateway signals to a server system having a redundant architecture, which determines estimated location of the wireless-enabled personal locator device.
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to analyzing motion plans of autonomous vehicles. In particular, the methods, devices, and systems of the present disclosure can: receive data indicating a motion plan, of an autonomous vehicle through an environment, based at least in part on multiple different constraints of the environment; and determine, for each constraint of the multiple different constraints, a measure of an influence of the constraint on the motion plan.

Abstract: A filter apparatus includes a filter, such as a cartridge, positioned within a housing. The filter apparatus has multiple ports and valves, so as to allow a user to easily switch between a filtration mode of filtering fluids and a maintenance mode of cleaning the filter. The filter can have a filter substrate in a housing and after filtrate builds up on the substrate, the substrate can be cleaned by directing a spray of fluid, such as from a ring of nozzles at the top of the housing, onto the substrate. A maintenance port can be provided to drain the debris washed from the substrate. The filter can switch between a backwash mode and a filtration mode.
Abstract: A cooling device for a rotating machine has a fan assembly coupled with a backing plate. A hub, on the backing plate, secures the cooling device with a shaft. The backing plate includes one or more vents to enable air to exit the cooling device. The fan includes an opening to enable air to enter the cooling device. A chamber is formed between the fan assembly and the backing plate. During rotation, air is drawn into the opening. The air is passed into the chamber and exits through the vents to cool a work surface or working pad attached to the backing plate.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to systems with multiple NFC front ends and at least one shared controller. Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for improving wireless power transmission are disclosed herein. A method of powering an implantable ventricular assist device with an external charging device includes receiving a signal indicative of a change in a property of a deformable coil of the resonant circuit. A performance property of the deformable coil is determined based on the signal. An adjustment to a tuning of the resonant circuit is identified based on the performance property of the deformable coil. The resonant circuit is tuned according to the adjustment to the tuning of the resonant circuit. The resonant circuit is driven to transmit power to a secondary coil electrically coupled with the implantable ventricular assist device to power the ventricular assist device.

An apparatus includes processing circuitry decoding prediction information of a current block, which indicates a plurality of combinations of processed reconstructed samples and corresponding output values of a filter process. The processing circuitry performs the filter process on processed reconstructed samples of a first color component of the current block. The processed reconstructed samples of the first color are not included in the plurality of combinations of the processed reconstructed samples. The processing circuitry determines an output value of the filter process based on one of a default value, a predicted output value, and one of the output values indicated in the prediction information.
Abstract: A suspended system with orientation control. The system may have a frame, a sign attached to the frame, a plurality of sensors, at least two thrusters, and a microcontroller operatively coupled to the plurality of sensors and the thrusters. The frame is configured to be suspended from a support, and the sign is configured to display a graphic. The plurality of sensors is configured to track an orientation of the frame. The thrusters are configured to adjust the orientation of the frame. Each of the thrusters may have an axis oriented in a direction perpendicular to the frame. The microcontroller is configured to receive a selected orientation of the frame, receive the current orientation of the frame from the sensors, compare the orientation of the frame with the selected orientation, and control the thrusters to adjust the orientation of the frame into the selected orientation.
