  • Publication number: 20230180205
Abstract: A wireless device receives, via a serving cell with a first physical cell identity (PCI) and used for carrier aggregation, configuration parameters for a beam failure detection and recovery procedure. The configuration parameters indicate a beam failure detection reference signal (RS) set associated with: a second PCI of a non-serving cell associated with transmission reception points (TRPs), and a TRP index of a first TRP of the TRPs of the non-serving cell. The wireless device detects a beam failure for the first TRP of the TRPs of the non-serving cell based on the beam failure detection RS set. The wireless device transmits, via the serving cell and in response to the detecting, one or more uplink signals indicating the beam failure for the non-serving cell.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a breath microbe collection assembly. The assembly receives both an upper respiratory breath and a lower respiratory breath of a user. The assembly includes a housing having a first chamber and a second chamber. A portion of the first chamber is configured to receive the upper respiratory breath and the lower respiratory breath. The second chamber is configured to receive the lower respiratory breath. A stop is mounted within the first chamber. A valve is mounted to the housing and has a pivoting part and a diverting part. The pivoting part is adjacent one side of the stop when the valve is in an initial position. The diverting part is adjacent another side opposite the one side of the stop when the valve is in an activated position. The valve automatically returns to the initial position when a volume of an initial breath of said user is dissipated.

Abstract: Described herein are polymer compositions (PC) including a polyamide and carbon fiber. As explained in detail below, the polyamide (PA) is a semi-aromatic polyamide derived from the polycondensation of an aliphatic diamine, terephthalic acid, and a bis(aminoalkyl)cyclohexane or a cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid. It was surprisingly discovered that incorporation of the cycloaliphatic diamine bis(aminoalkyl)cyclohexane or the specific combination of the cycloaliphatic diamine bis(aminoalkyl)cyclohexane and the cycloaliphatic dicarboxylic acid cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid into the polyamide provided for carbon fiber filled polymer compositions (PC) having significantly improved mechanical properties (e.g. tensile modulus and strength) at elevated temperatures, as well as significantly improved retention of mechanical properties after heat aging, relative to analogous polyamides free of the bis(aminoalkyl)cyclohexane and the cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid.

Abstract: The present technology can be used to control the current injection profile in the longitudinal direction of a high-power diode laser in order to optimize current densities as a function of position in the cavity to promote higher reliable output power and increase the electrical to optical conversion efficiency of the device beyond the level which can be achieved without application of this technique. This approach can be utilized, e.g., in the fabrication of semiconductor laser chips to improve the output power and wall plug efficiency for applications requiring improved performance operation.

  • Publication number: 20230179213
Abstract: An analog to digital converter (ADC) senses an analog signal (e.g., a load current) to generate a digital signal. The ADC operates based on a load voltage produced based on charging of an element (e.g., a capacitor) by a load current and a digital to analog converter (DAC) output current (e.g., from a N-bit DAC). The ADC generates a digital output signal representative of a difference between the load voltage and a reference voltage. This digital output signal is used directly, or after digital signal processing, to operate an N-bit DAC to generate a DAC output current that tracks the load current. The digital output signal provided to the N-bit DAC is an inverse function of the load current. The ADC is operative to sense very low currents (e.g., currents as low as 1 s of pico-amps) and consume very little power (e.g., less than 2 µW).
