Abstract: Systems, methods, and a computer readable medium are provided for monitoring and detecting a gas emission. Sensor data including gas concentration and wind data associated with a gas emission from an emission source is received from Near-Field and Far-Field sensors configured within a gas production and distribution environment. The sensor data can be provided as inputs to a Near-Field dispersion model to determine an emission rate associated with the gas emission and one or more source locations associated with the gas emission. The emission rate can be included in emission data and provided for output. Related apparatus, systems, techniques, and articles are also described.

Abstract: An improved human-computer interface (“HCI”) is disclosed herein for viewing a three-dimensional (“3D”) representation of a real-world environment from different, changing, and/or multiple perspectives. An AR device may capture, in real-time, a 3D representation of a scene using a surface reconstruction (“SR”) camera and a traditional Red Green & Blue (“RGB”) camera. The 3D representation may be transmitted to and viewed on a user's computing device, enabling the user to navigate the 3D representation. The user may view the 3D representation in a free-third-person mode, enabling the user to virtually walk or fly through the representation captured by the AR device. The user may also select a floor plan mode for a top-down or isomorphic perspective. Enabling a user to view a scene from different perspectives enhances understanding, speeds trouble-shooting, and fundamentally improves the capability of the computing device, the AR device, and the combination thereof.

Abstract: A personal care product system having a stand and a handle is provided. The handle can be docked with the stand when not in use. The position of the handle relative to the stand is maintained by a docking magnet in the handle and a docking magnet in the stand. The stand includes a base having a stand resting plane and an opposing top surface. The handle extends upward from the opposing top surface of the stand and is tilted with respect to a vertical axis with a majority of the handle being unsupported. A handle resting plane intersects the stand resting plane at an included angle of less than 90 degrees, and an axis of polarity of the docking magnet in the handle intersects the handle resting plane at an included angle between 15 and 35 degrees to facilitate the tilted position of the handle.

Abstract: A modified Ziegler-Natta procatalyst that is a product mixture of modifying an initial Ziegler-Natta procatalyst with a molecular (pro)catalyst, and optionally an activator, the modifying occurring before activating the modified Ziegler-Natta procatalyst with an activator and before contacting the modified Ziegler-Natta procatalyst with a polymerizable olefin. Also, a modified catalyst system prepared therefrom, methods of preparing the modified Ziegler-Natta procatalyst and the modified catalyst system, a method of polymerizing an olefin using the modified catalyst system, and a polyolefin product made thereby.

Abstract: Systems and methods interacting with tabletop models are provided herein. A display system includes a tabletop model, including a horizontal display that is configured to display a two-dimensional digital map and a three-dimensional physical model that is configured to overlay the two-dimensional digital map. The display receives a selection of an object from a device of a display system and synchronizes a change to the tabletop model and the three-dimensional digital model that reflects the selection of the object.

Abstract: A universal storage device for a wheel chock used in an auto carrier railcar comprises a grating coupled to a backplate. The grating has a regularly spaced array of horizontal rods, including an intermediate horizontal rod with a missing segment that creates a gap in the array. The backplate has a plurality of tabs extending transverse to the horizontal rods that are wrapped around one or more horizontal rods to couple the grating to the backplate. The wheel chock has multiple rows of teeth for engaging the grating. When installed on the storage device, a first row of teeth engages a first horizontal rod of the grating and a second row of teeth is positioned in the gap in the array of horizontal rods. The storage device further comprises a locking flange rotatable between a locked and an unlocked position. In the locked position, the locking flange engages an upper surface of the wheel chock to secure the wheel chock to the storage device.

Abstract: Provided are thionated polymers comprising one or more aromatic groups and at least one Sx group, wherein x is 1-200, wherein the thionated polymer comprises about 50% by weight or less, based on the weight of the thionated polymer, of substituents on the backbone of the thionated polymer that absorb at a wavelength of about 700 to about 6200 nm. Also provided are substrates such as films, glass substrates, and optical devices comprising a thionated polymer and processes for preparing a thionated polymer described herein.

Abstract: Currently, user devices in a 5G/6G wireless network must perform a complex iteration procedure to align their directional transmission/reception beams toward the base station. Disclosed is a faster, simpler procedure to enable users with beamforming capability to align their beams. The base station transmits a series of sequential signals, all with the same amplitude, modulation, and spatial distribution. A user device can receive the signals using directional reception beams oriented in various directions, measuring the signal quality for each of the reception beams. The user device can then select the reception beam with the best signal quality, or it can interpolate between the two best beams to determine the optimal alignment direction toward the base station. A single user device (such as a new arrival) can align its beam, or all of the user devices in the network can optimize their beams simultaneously, saving time at very low resource cost.

Abstract: Minimum system information including at least cell access information to establish access with a cell can be transmitted, the minimum system information also including at least one indication indicating whether particular system information listed in scheduling information in the minimum system information is being broadcasted or not being broadcasted. A system information request message requesting transmission of non-minimum system information if the at least one indication indicates the non-minimum system information is not being broadcasted can be received, where the non-minimum system information may not be included in the minimum system information. The non-minimum system information can be transmitted either in response to the receiving of the system information request message or in response to the at least one indication indicating whether particular system information is being broadcasted.

Abstract: A rotary drilling rig includes a vertical mast and a rotary head that can vertically move along the mast with respect to a work surface. To move the rotary head along the mast, a hydraulic feed actuator is connected with the rotary head via a wire rope feed system including a hoist rope and a pulldown rope. To maintain the hoist and pulldown ropes in tension and prevent them from dislodging from the respective pulleys of the wire rope system, the hoist and pulldown ropes can be connected to respective hoist and pulldown tensioning actuators. The hoist actuator can be associated with a hoist hydraulic circuit and the pulldown tensioning actuator can be associated with a separate pulldown hydraulic circuit.

Abstract: A content provider can provide content, such as advertisements or other promotional material, to a recipient. A distribution system of the content provider can receive a query and select one or more advertisements and a user interface for presenting the advertisements based on the query, information associated with the user, a set of queries received from the user, and/or other information. A model for selecting the user interface can be generated by serving available user interfaces randomly or pseudo-randomly and monitoring user interaction with the served user interfaces. The model can be updated during regular use based on the performance of the user interfaces.

Abstract: A system to detect and avoid spilled cargo in an automobile vehicle, includes an automobile vehicle rear cargo area including a floor to temporarily receive a storage item in the cargo area. A lift gate is moved between a closed and latched position and a fully open position inclusive to allow loading and removal of the storage item. A vision system identifies the storage item when initially loaded in the cargo area and identifies if the storage item is initially positioned in a cargo spill position or subsequently moves to the cargo spill position. A cargo stop device is releasably connected to the lift gate. An operating system releasably stores the cargo stop device when the storage item is not in the cargo spill position and deploys the cargo stop device when the storage item is in the cargo spill position.

Abstract: A method, computer program product, and computing system for receiving, at a cache memory system, a write request for writing data to a storage system. A data reduction rate may be predicted for the write request. One or more portions of memory within the storage system may be allocated based upon, at least in part, the predicted data reduction rate for the write request. The write request may be flushed from the cache memory system to the allocated one or more portions of memory within the storage system.

Abstract: A retail display hook for merchandise packaged with a hang tab aperture includes mounting bracket with a hang bar and an access bar cantilevered therefrom. The hang bar extends outwardly along a straight portion, through an upwardly peaked portion, and followed by an upwardly angled portion. An access flap pivotally engages a distal end of the access bar, and is located above and adjacent to the distal end of the hang bar. The access flap includes an arrester extension and a blocker extension. Rotation of the access flap between a display position and an access position controls removal of merchandise to one unit at a time, requiring cyclical operation to remove more than one unit.

Abstract: A gyroscopic roll stabilizer comprises a gimbal having a support frame and enclosure configured to maintain a below-ambient pressure, a flywheel assembly including a flywheel and flywheel shaft, one or more bearings for rotatably mounting the flywheel inside the enclosure, a motor for rotating the flywheel, and bearing cooling system for cooling the bearings supporting the flywheel. For smaller units, the bearing cooling system is effective to enable a flywheel with a moment of inertia less than 11.7 kg.m2 (40000 lbm in2) to be accelerated at a rate of 5 rpm/s or greater. For larger units, the bearing cooling system is effective to enable a flywheel with a moment of inertia greater than 11.7 kg.m2 (40000 lbm in2) to be accelerated at a rate of 2.5 rpm/s or greater.
