  • Patent number: 11624906
Abstract: An illumination system having a reduced z-dimensional profile, which is achieved by reflecting light out of plane relative to a light source that generated the light, is disclosed herein. This illumination system includes an IR illumination device, a collimating optic, a turning optic, and a waveguide. The turning optic is specially configured to receive IR light from the IR illumination device and to reflect the IR light out of plane relative to the emission orientation of the IR illumination device. The reflected IR light is reflected towards the collimating optic. The waveguide is positioned in a fixed position relative to the collimating optic and includes an input port or grating to receive the collimated IR light. By reflecting light out of the plane, the size of the illumination system can be beneficially reduced in the z-direction.

  • Patent number: 11624713
Abstract: A flexible inspection system includes a robot with a plurality of scanners and a robot controller. The robot controller is configured to receive a vehicle inspection protocol (VIP) for a vehicle being assembled on an assembly line. The VIP includes checkpoints to be scanned on the vehicle and the checkpoints correspond to components installed on the vehicle and connections between components installed on the vehicle. The robot controller commands the robot to move the plurality of scanners per the VIP such that the checkpoints are scanned. A characteristic of each checkpoint is recorded and compared to a reference characteristic such that a pass or no-pass determination of each checkpoint is provided. A vehicle inspection report with the pass/no-pass determinations is provided to an operator such that operator inspections and/or repairs of the checkpoints are made.

  • Patent number: 11625545
Abstract: Systems and methods for improved conversation translation are disclosed. The system receives a first portion of a conversation in a first language. The system translates the first portion of the conversation to a second language. The system generates a predicted second portion of the conversation. The first portion and the predicted second portion are sent to a second user device as a predictive translation. The system then receives an actual second portion of the conversation, translates it to the second language, and sends the first portion and the actual second portion to the second user device as a batch translation. The system compares the batch translation to the predictive translation to identity any differences and generates a color-coded translation highlighting any differences between the batch translation and the predictive translation. The system sends the color-coded translation to the second user device for display on the second user device.
