  • Patent number: 11625441
Abstract: Digital image data including discrete photographic images of a variety of different subjects, times, and so forth, are collected and analyzed to identify specific features in the photographs. In an embodiment of the invention, distinctive markers are distributed to aid in the identification of particular subject matter. Facial recognition may also be employed. The digital image data is maintained in a database and quarried in response to search requests. The search requests include criteria specifying any feature category or other identifying information, such as date, time, and location that each photograph was taken, associated with each photograph. Candidate images are provided for review by requesters, who may select desired images for purchase or downloading.

  • Patent number: 11624381
Abstract: Material flow modifiers as disclosed herein overcome drawbacks associated with known adverse flow conditions (e.g., surface erosion, head losses, particulate drop-out, and the like) that arise from flow of certain types of materials (e.g., fluids, slurries, particulates, flowable aggregate, and the like) through a material flow conduit. Such material flow modifiers provide for flow of flowable material within a flow passage of a material flow conduit (e.g., a portion of a pipeline, tubing or the like) to have a rotational flow profile. Advantageously, the rotational flow profile centralizes flow toward the central portion of the flow passage, thereby reducing magnitude of laminar flow to overcome the aforementioned adverse flow conditions.

  • Patent number: 11625558
Abstract: Data events of an event stream are processed in accordance with temporally valid machine learning models. A streaming node may receive data events via an event stream. Each data event may be associated with a timestamp. The streaming node may also utilize punctuation events that specify the temporal validity of available machine learning models. The streaming node performs a temporal join operation for each data event based on its timestamp and the temporal validity. If the data event's timestamp is less than or equal to the punctuation event's timestamp, the data event is provided to the temporally valid machine learning model for processing thereby. If the data event's timestamp is greater than the punctuation event's timestamp, the data event is held until a subsequent punctuation event specifying a later timestamp is received.

  • Patent number: 11623342
Abstract: A safety system is disclosed for failsafe servicing of areas within an order fulfillment facility. During normal operation, a number of battery-powered robots receive wireless instructions from a management control system (MCS) to transfer items to/from workstations or storage shelves in a multi-level storage structure. The order fulfillment facility may be divided into dynamically configurable service zones. When service is required in a service zone, different safety protocols may be employed based on a determination as to the priority level of service required and/or the estimated length of time service will take. One safety protocol involves physically blocking all access points to a service area with mechanical guards, so that order fulfillment operations may be proceed around the service zone while service is performed.

  • Patent number: 11625285
Abstract: Techniques are provided for assigning workloads in a multi-node processing environment using resource allocation feedback from each node. One method comprises obtaining feedback from distributed nodes that process workloads, wherein the feedback for a given node indicates (i) an allocation of resources, and (ii) a number of executing workloads. In response to receiving a given workload to be processed, candidate nodes are identified to execute the given workload; and the given workload is assigned to a given candidate node based on an amount of available resources on each candidate node and/or a stability of resource adjustments made for each candidate node. The stability of the resource adjustments made for each candidate node can be evaluated based on a maximum resource adjustment made for a given candidate node relative to a maximum resource adjustment made for each of the candidate nodes.
