Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for using a structured data database and for exchanging electronic files containing unstructured or partially structured data. A system stores first structured data in a database, wherein the structured data represents a property. The system generates an electronic file, including by (a) storing unstructured data in the electronic file, wherein the unstructured data causes a representation of the property to be rendered on a face of a document represented by the file and (b) storing an identifier in the electronic file indicating a location in the database at which the first structured data is stored. The file is transmitted outside the system. Upon receipt of a copy of the file, the system reads the identifier from the copy of the received file and accesses the database location indicated by the identifier read from the received file.

Abstract: A method and a system can automatically prioritize emergency calls based on health data. Such prioritization can be provided even when the call is placed by a person who has no idea of what has happened in the incident and cannot give many details about the health status of the parties involved.
Abstract: A potty training system includes a base, a platform, a basin and a topper. In a first configuration, the platform is installed on top of the base, the basin is supported by its support flange on the platform so as to occupy a central hole of the platform, and the topper is installed on top of the platform and basin. The platform, basin and topper are keyed to each other. An inner surface of a basin pour spout intentionally is spaced from an outer surface of a downwardly depending topper ring. Instead of keying to the inner surface of the basin pour spout, the topper has a downwardly extending blade that is received in a blade receptacle spaced from an inner margin of the platform. In a second configuration, the base is inverted and used as a step, the basin and platform are not used and the topper is placed to span an adult toilet seat.

Abstract: A Carpal Tunnel Release (CTR) surgical tool is disclosed. The CRT tool is useable to perform CTR surgically endoscopically through an incision in the patient, and includes dedicated optical components within the tool. The tool also includes wireless communication means to broadcast video images from the camera to an external display without the use of any cabling. The CTR tool is modular, thus allowing different portions of the tool to be replaced, including a blade tip assembly. The CTR tool is comprised of components manufactured of materials that can be cleaned and sterilized using an autoclave alone, which allows the tool to be more easily and cheaply used in subsequent surgeries, and in contexts that may lack the resources and support traditionally necessary for surgery. The CTR system may simply comprise of the tool (and its cheaper replacement parts), a monitor having wireless capability, and a simple autoclave.

Abstract: Innovations in control and use of chroma quantization parameter (“QP”) values that depend on hum QP values. More generally, the innovations relate to control and use of QP values for a secondary color component that depend on QP values for a primary color component. For example, during encoding, an encoder determines a QP index from a primary component QP and secondary component QP offset. The encoder maps the QP index to a secondary component QP, which has an extended range. The encoder outputs at least part of a bitstream including the encoded content. A corresponding decoder receives at least part of a bitstream including encoded content. During decoding, the decoder determines a QP index from a primary component QP and secondary component QP offset, then maps the QP index to a secondary component QP, which has an extended range.
Abstract: A coulter assembly for collecting soil samples from an agricultural field in one embodiment comprises an annular collection blade configured for penetrating soil to capture a sample, an annular cam ring configured for stationary mounting to a frame of an agricultural vehicle and comprising a cam track, a blade hub coupled to the blade for rotatably supporting the annular collection blade from the annular cam ring, and a movable sample collector mounted to the annular collection blade. The moveable sample collector is configured and operable for extracting a soil sample as the annular collection blade is rotated through the soil. The moveable sample collector in one embodiment comprises a piston mechanism including a cylinder and rod movably disposed therein which actuated by the annular cam ring to alternatingly open and close a collection end of the cylinder as the annular collection blade rotates through the soil.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and articles of manufacture to monitor media are disclosed. An example apparatus includes at least one memory, machine-readable instructions, and at least one processor to execute the machine-readable instructions to at least establish a direct media network as a Group Owner after performance of a negotiation process with a streaming client device. The at least one processor is to add a client device to the direct media network based on a beacon response from the streaming client device and, after metadata is extracted from first media at the apparatus, cause transmission of the first media to a media presentation device via the direct media network, the metadata representative of an identification of the media, and cause transmission of a message including the identification of the media to a server via a network to credit the media as having been accessed based on the identification.
Abstract: Guidance to a vehicle occupant is directed to manual adjustment of a height of a D-ring mechanism of a safety belt. First data of the occupant is collected which is indicative of a target height for the D-ring mechanism. Second data is collected indicative of a current height of the D-ring mechanism. The target height and the current height are compared to generate an adjustment amount whenever their difference is greater than a predetermined threshold. Visual guidance is presented to the occupant on an HMI display panel wherein the visual guidance describes taking an particular action to achieve the manual height adjustment of the D-ring mechanism. A further visual instruction is presented to the occupant on the HMI display panel wherein the visual instruction identifies the adjustment amount.
Abstract: A vehicle includes an occupant compartment, a storage compartment, one or more frame elements, a seat assembly, and a door. The frame element forms at least a part of the storage compartment, which is arranged adjacent to an occupant compartment. The frame element includes an opening between the storage compartment and the occupant compartment. The seat assembly is arranged in the occupant compartment, and optionally includes a console. A threshold element is optionally included to provide an interface to the occupant compartment. The door is configured to block and unblock the opening such that an occupant can access the storage compartment from the occupant compartment. The door is configured to rotate, slide, fold, or otherwise be reconfigured, under manual or automatic operation, to unblock the opening. The door is not part of the seat assembly, and interfaces to the frame element or a threshold element affixed to the frame.

Abstract: A sifter includes a screen including a cylindrical portion. A helix is positioned within the cylindrical portion and extends between a first end of the helix and a second end of the helix. The helix defines a volume, such as an annular gap extending between the first end of the helix and a second end of the helix and extending inwardly from an inner surface of the helix by at least 25 percent of an inner diameter of the inner surface of the helix, the volume being available to receive particles sifted by the sifter. The helix may be a metal coil secured at ends thereof to a shaft driven by a motor. The screen and/or endcaps secured to the screen includes an opening through which particles that do not pass through the screen are urged by the helix.
