Abstract: Techniques and tools for reducing latency in video encoding and decoding by constraining latency due to reordering of video frames, and by indicating the constraint on frame reordering latency with one or more syntax elements that accompany encoded data for the video frames. For example, a real-time communication tool with a video encoder sets a syntax element that indicates a constraint on frame reordering latency, which is consistent with inter-frame dependencies between multiple frames of a video sequence, then outputs the syntax element. A corresponding real-time communication tool with a video decoder receives the syntax element that indicates the constraint on frame reordering latency, determines the constraint on frame reordering latency based on the syntax element, and uses the constraint on frame reordering latency to determine when a reconstructed frame is ready for output (in terms of output order).
Abstract: A calibration system for calibrating a pressure output of a fluid injector having a housing configured for connecting to the fluid injector; a drive member engagement portion configured for contacting a drive member of the fluid injector; a compressible member, which may have a known modulus of compression, connected at its proximal end to the drive member engagement portion, wherein the compressible member is compressed with movement of the drive member of the fluid injector between a first, uncompressed position and a second, at least partially compressed position of the fluid injector in a distal direction; and a sensor connected to the compressible member is described. The sensor is configured for measuring at least one of a force imparted by the drive member and a displacement of the drive member when the compressible member is in the second, at least partially compressed position.

Abstract: A method of assembling a mobile electric power generation system comprises providing a generator trailer having an electric generator, a gas turbine trailer having a gas turbine, an exhaust trailer having an exhaust device, and an air filter and ventilation trailer having an air inlet device. Abstract: The present invention relates to systems and methods for providing and managing a repository of free and/or open source software (FOSS) which is free of malware and/or vulnerabilities. The invention comprises scanning FOSS with a malware scanner and adding the FOSS to an anti-malware package management system when the malware scanner indicates no malicious code and/or vulnerabilities have been detected. The anti-malware package management system is accessible by users as a trusted source to obtain FOSS which is free of malware and believed to be safe to use. The anti-malware package management system is updated over time to keep up with changing FOSS libraries and changing malware detection capabilities so that the anti-malware package management system remains a trusted source for users to obtain FOSS.

Abstract: A wireless access point (WAP) supports one or more physical layer (PHY) operational parameters which can be restricted from use to lessen congestion within a wireless network (WN). The WAP periodically transmits a management frame to enable one or more communication devices to establish and/or maintain communication with the WAP. The wireless network can restrict one or more of the one or more PHY operational parameters, such as PHY data rates to provide an example, that are supported by the WAP from being utilized for communicating the management frame. This restriction of the one or more PHY operational parameters allows the WAP to periodically transmit the management frame at an increased PHY data rate thereby decreasing time needed for communicating the management frame which can lessen the congestion within the WN.
Abstract: A rectocele device having a rectocele handle with a first static paddle removably affixed to a rectocele paddle connector at a paddle connector end. A second static paddle is configured to replace the first static paddle after the first static paddle is removed from the rectocele paddle connector. The first static paddle is configured and sized to fit within a human vagina wherein the first static paddle is only removable from the handle distal end when the first static paddle is not deployed in the human vagina. The first static paddle is shaped differently from the second static paddle. The first or second static paddle is inserted in a human vagina (by a woman using the rectocele device) wherein the first or second static paddle can be leveraged against a rectocele via the rectocele handle thereby pushing the rectocele bulge back into the colon so that the woman can evacuate a bowel more efficiently.
Abstract: Plant metabolism and alkaloid levels can be regulated by transcription factors that regulate the nicotinic alkaloid biosynthetic pathway. In one embodiment, the disclosure provides a transcription factor that positively regulates alkaloid biosynthesis, such as nicotine biosynthesis. In particular, the present disclosure provides methods for the inhibition of Nicotiana benthamiana auxin response factor 1 (NbTF1) to reduce alkaloid biosynthesis in plants.
Abstract: Methods and systems to determine a presence or absence of engine misfire or spark plug fouling are presented. In one example, rates of change in engine speed are arranged in engine data blocks and root mean square values for the rates of change in engine speed are determined.
