  • Patent number: 11405337
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for generating dynamic interface options using machine learning models. The dynamic interface options may be generated in real time and reflect the likely goals and/or intents of a user. The machine learning model may provide these features by interpreting multi-modal feature inputs. For example, the machine learning model may include a first machine learning model, wherein the first machine learning model comprises a convolutional neural network, and a second machine learning model, wherein the second machine learning model performs a Weight of Evidence (WOE) analysis.

  • Patent number: 11403092
Abstract: Enacting a compliance action using an assessment that considers a mix of coldpatches and hotpatches includes identifying a policy defining the compliance condition based on patching status of a software component. A patching state of the software component is determined, including identifying evidence of coldpatched binary file(s) and hotpatch binary file(s) applicable to the software component, and using the evidence to determine whether or not the hotpatch binary file(s) have been applied to a memory image into which an instance of the software component is loaded. Based on the policy and on the patching state of the software component, a compliance action is enacted for the compliance condition. The compliance action includes generating a health report or a health attestation, initiating a patching action, initiating an execution control action, and the like.

  • Patent number: 11405481
Abstract: A caching entity may store a cached copy of a service layer resource. An original hosting entity may maintain a registry of the corresponding cached resources. Optionally, the original hosting entity may set cache parameters to govern the lifetime of the cache on a caching entity. The caching entity may keep storing the cached copy of the resource and the original hosting entity may obtain statistics about the cached resource. By knowing the statistics, e.g. how many times a resource is retrieved on each caching entity, the original hosting entity may better manage the resource.

  • Patent number: 11401909
Abstract: A kinetic fluid energy conversion system comprises one or more hubs which rotate about a central hub carrier, each including one or more independently controlled articulating energy conversion plates (“ECP”). An articulation control system rotates each ECP independently of all others to control its orientation with respect to the fluid flow direction between an orientation of 90° perpendicular to the fluid flow, while traveling in the direction of the flow and 0° minimal drag parallel position to the flow, while traveling in the direction against the flow or blocked from it. Each hub can be operably coupled to another hub to form one or more counter-rotating hub and ECP assemblies whereby the mechanical energy is transferred through the hubs, to one or more clutch/gearbox/generator/pump assemblies thereby permitting such assemblies to be land-based when the system is air-powered, and above or near the surface, when the system is water-powered.

  • Patent number: 11403094
Abstract: In certain embodiments, a software pipeline (“pipeline”) is configured by the use of gates for progressing an application from one stage to another (e.g., from a development stage to a production stage). A configuration file having a set of attribute values that is descriptive of an application, and a gate mapping file having information associated with the gates to be invoked for different combinations of attribute values are obtained. The configuration file is processed using the gate mapping file to determine a set of gates to be invoked for progressing the application in the pipeline based on the attribute values of the application. The set of gates are invoked to cause a corresponding set of software routines to be executed for progressing the application.

  • Patent number: 11405774
Abstract: Provisioning multiple artificial reality devices can be accomplished through network communications between a device distributor, an administration system, a provisioning device, and the artificial reality devices. The device distributor can provide, to the administration system, a list of artificial reality devices corresponding to a particular organization. A provisioning device can sign into an account on the administration system and receive the list. The provisioning device can then scan for wireless connectivity with the listed artificial reality devices and can make a wireless connection with any artificial reality devices that respond and that are on the list. The provisioning device can then send these devices credentials for a local WiFi network. The artificial reality devices can automatically, upon receipt of the credentials, connect to the administration system to obtain the software update and/or the configuration data.

  • Patent number: 11403198
Abstract: A technique manages data within solid state device (SSD) storage. The technique involves, in response to writing data to a set of SSD storage components, consuming a set of recurring write quotas for the set of SSD storage components. Each recurring write quota identifies an amount of remaining usefulness for a respective SSD storage component, e.g., periodically allocated budgets for write operations based on measured (or counted) reliability and/or healthiness factors. The technique further involves, as the set of recurring write quotas are consumed, performing a set of quota evaluation operations to evaluate the set of recurring write quotas. The technique further involves, in response to a set of results from the set of quota evaluation operations, performing a set of remedial activities to control access to the data that was written to the set of SSD storage components.
