  • Patent number: 12198536
Abstract: Methods and systems for calibrating a haptic system in an electronic device are provided. The calibration of the haptic system may be performed in a facility prior to a shipment to a user. The calibration may also be performed by a user prior to or after his/her use of the haptic system in the electronic device over time. A method for performing a calibration process in an electronic device includes generating a drive signal from a haptic driver in a haptic system disposed in an electronic device, transmitting the drive signal to an actuator in the haptic system, detecting a back Electromotive Force (bEMF) signal from the actuator in the haptic system, analyzing an output waveform from the bEMF signal, and adjusting a scale of the drive signal generated from the haptic driver.

  • Patent number: 12194246
Abstract: A catheter device and manufacturing process for manufacturing the catheter device, wherein the catheter device has a halo-shaped coiled portion extending away from a perpendicular stem portion through a swan neck portion. Eyelets on the halo coil portion and swan neck portion facilitate flow out of the bladder through the catheter device vertical to the catheter, rather than perpendicularly as is the case with existing catheters. The catheter device is formed by using a straight catheter tube, heating and cooling it within a formed mold to have the halo coil and swan neck, such that it can be straightened using a pusher and stylet, inserted into the body while straightened, and thereafter return to its coiled shape when the stylet is removed.

  • Patent number: 12195036
Abstract: According to some embodiments, systems, methods and media for dynamically generating scenario parameters for an autonomous driving vehicles (ADV) are described. In one embodiment, when an ADV enters a driving scenario, the ADV can invoke a map-based scenario checker to determine the type of scenario, and invokes a corresponding neural network model to generate a set of parameters for the scenario based on real-time environmental conditions (e.g., traffics) and vehicle status information (e.g., speed). The set of scenario parameters can be a set of extra constraints for configuring the ADV to drive in a driving mode corresponding to the scenario.

  • Patent number: 12196341
Abstract: A closure member is configured for use in a valve. These configurations may include a plug with grooves or “flutes” that extend along its length. Inserts in the flutes may comprise materials, like ceramics, that are different than the material that forms the core or base portion of the plug. These inserts are useful to slow erosion of the device, particularly in the flutes, which form an outwardly-facing surface that is subject to high velocity flow in the valve. This feature can extend service life of the plug, particularly in highly-erosive process fluids, like particle-entrained fluids commonly found in hydrocracking or refining operations.

  • Patent number: 12198165
Abstract: A system and method of processing, within a single procedure, cash equivalents and fix assets from any disposition class. The method includes identifying the benefactor and asset to be donation. Once identified, the asset is classified into one of three disposition classes. The disposition classes are used to determine the value for valuing. Once the value is determined, an impact statement is generated. Depending on the disposition class, the item is either converted to funds directly or through an intermediary. Once the item is converted to funds, the funds are transferred to the identified benefactor.
