Abstract: Files are identified for file-level restore by bitmaps of cloud snapshots of a storage volume. The bitmaps comprise a data structure for each snapshot containing record numbers of files of the storage volume and a file status bit for each such file that indicates the presence or absence of the file in the corresponding snapshot. File numbers of files of interest are obtained from record numbers of records in a volume files index of the storage volume. The bitmaps can be searched to locate the snapshots containing particular files of interest without the necessity of mounting and searching the separate snapshots on a virtual machine.

Abstract: Orthopedic guide, and methods of using the guide, for alignment of bone under fluoroscopic imaging. In an exemplary embodiment, the guide may include a radiopaque rod, a radiolucent carrier, and a radiopaque indicator held by the carrier. The rod and the indicator may be parallel to the same plane, and may form an angle between one another of less than 90 degrees when projected orthogonally onto the plane. The rod may be configured to be aligned with an axis defined by one or more bones of the leg, and the indicator aligned with a joint of the leg, in an anterior-posterior, fluoroscopic view of the leg. The angle formed between the rod and the indicator may correspond to an anatomic orientation of the axis and the joint relative to one another in a frontal plane of the leg.

Abstract: A smart adjustable bed system combines an adjustable bed, a smart hub, a server, and smart devices to provide a system for controlling the raising and lowering of the adjustable bed. The smart hub acts as a gateway interconnecting the smart adjustable bed and a remote server capable of powerful voice recognition and artificial intelligence at a shared price. The system includes methods of using the system to allow an additional smart device such as a tablet computer to act as a remote control for the smart adjustable bed. The system further enables voice controls to be used to raise and lower the adjustable bed. Lastly, the voice recognition of the smart hub can be used to detect snoring and to send a signal to the adjustable bed to raise the bed to a position until the user reaches a position where snoring stops.
Abstract: Management system for a rechargeable energy storage device in an electric vehicle and corresponding method is disclosed. The rechargeable energy storage device has one or more battery packs each having a plurality of modules with one or more respective cells. A respective module management unit is embedded in each of the plurality of modules through respective microcircuits and configured to determine one or more local parameters. A supervisory controller is configured for two-way communication with the respective module management unit. The supervisory controller is configured to receive the local parameters, determine one or more global pack parameters based in part on the local parameters and transmit the global pack parameters back to the respective management unit. The supervisory controller is configured to control operation of the rechargeable energy storage device based in part on the global pack parameters and the local parameters.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are provided that relate to using one or more vision sensors to capture images of a loaded pallet in association with application of stretch wrap to the loaded pallet by an automated pallet wrapping machine. The images are used to generate an image-based identifier for the loaded pallet that is then used for pallet identification by mobile robots and/or other automated agents in a warehouse or other environment. In some implementations, the images are captured by the vision sensor when the pallet is in the wrapping area of the automated pallet wrapping machine and while the vision sensor and/or the pallet are rotating. In some implementations, the image-based identifier may be assigned to pallet attributes and/or a de-palletizing scheme of the loaded pallet.
