Abstract: Embodiments of multilayer films and laminate structures for flexible packaging comprise a multilayer polyolefin film comprising at least 3 layers. The multilayer polyolefin film comprises a first surface layer comprising: a first composition comprising at least one ethylene based polymer, wherein the first composition comprises a Molecular Weighted Comonomer Distribution Index (MWCDI) value greater than 0.9, and a melt index ratio (I10/I2) that meets the following equation: I10/I2?7.0?1.2×log (I2). The first surface layer also comprises a second composition comprising an ethylene based polymer having a density from 0.890 to 0.925 g/cc and a melt index (I2) from 0.2 to 2.0 g/10 min. The multilayer polyolefin film also comprises a first intermediate layer comprising the first composition.

Abstract: A window unit is designed to prevent or reduce bird collisions therewith. The window unit may include first and second substrates (e.g., glass substrates) spaced apart from one another, wherein at least one of the substrates supports an ultraviolet (UV) reflecting coating for reflecting UV radiation so that birds are capable of more easily seeing the window. The UV reflecting coating is preferably patterned so that it is not provided across the entirety of the window unit. By making the window more visible to birds, bird collisions and bird deaths can be reduced. The UV reflecting coating is designed to have high UV reflectance across a large range of viewing angles.

Abstract: An airlaid substrate includes at least one bicomponent fiber having a first region and a second region. The first region includes polypropylene and the second includes a blend of an ethylene-base polymer and an ethylene acid copolymer. The ethylene-base polymer has a density from 0.920 g/cm3 to 0.970 g/cm3 and a melt index (I2) from 0.5 g/10 min to 150 g/10 min. The ethylene acid copolymer includes the polymerized reaction product of from 60 wt % to 99 wt % ethylene monomer and from 1 wt % to 40 wt % unsaturated dicarboxylic acid comonomer, based on the total weight of the monomers in the ethylene acid copolymer. The ethylene acid copolymer having a melt index (I2) from 0.5 g/10 min to 500 g/10 min.

Also provided are compounds of Formula III, Formula VII, and IV, wherein R1 is a C1-C6 alkyl, X is Cl or OH, Y is halogen, OH, or OR2, and R2 is a C1-C6 alkyl.

Abstract: A lower jaw and tongue thrusting endotracheal tube and flexible fiberoptic endoscope intubation oral airway device having an elongated body including, a mandible flange with a lingual flat portion transversely disposed on a ventral surface of a tongue plate. The device having an open top toward the palate like a rectangular trough. The trough extends through the device from the proximal end to the front middle part of the tongue plate. The device includes an L-shaped insert that slideably couples between the upper lip flanges and acts also as dorsal surface of the bite block. The distal end of the tongue plate end comprises a curved surface which tapers to a narrow distal edge. A pair of upstanding walls attach to the tongue faceplate ventral surface edges which taper as they extend posteriorly. The walls ensure protection for medical instruments disposed within the flexible fiberoptic endoscope guide.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to soilless growth media with light reflecting and light absorbing surfaces for indoor farming and methods of using the media to germinate seeds and develop plants. In some embodiments, the soilless growth media can be a fabric made from two webs that can be joined together with a tie-in yarn linking the light reflecting plant supporting surface web yarn and the light absorbing web base yarn together in the fabric. The soilless growth media in embodiments of the disclosure can be used to reduce evaporation from nutrient delivery systems and improve controlled environmental agriculture operating efficiency.

Abstract: One or more aspects of the present disclosure relate to testing, analyzing, and optimizing one or more data dedup techniques implemented by a storage system. A workload is generated to include zero or more deduplication (dedup) data patterns and one or more unique data patterns according to a target dedup hit ratio. The workload is issued to a storage device. The storage device's performance corresponding to processing the one or more workloads is analyzed.

Abstract: Various cement-containing compositions are disclosed, including insulating cement, forms, and prefabricated building materials produced from cement-containing compositions with insulating properties. Some of the preferred embodiments include expanded polystyrene and an acrylic component to provide enhanced insulating properties, or have a lower density, lighter weight, and increased insulating R-value in comparison with other cement-containing compositions.

Advancement of the distal tip of the catheter tube into contact with the blockage can core a piece from the blockage that is passed through the catheter tube.

Abstract: In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a fuel measurement device is described. The fuel measurement device includes a collar to clamp against a neck of a fuel tank. A fuel port is coupled to the collar. The fuel port includes 1) a passage through which fuel is passed into the fuel tank and 2) a fuel level sensor that includes an elongated probe inserted into the fuel tank.
