Patent number: 11234304Abstract: A photocontrol circuit includes a set of light level detection circuitry which is powered by a 0 to 10V dimming input. In response to a determination that light sensed in ambient environment is at or below the light level threshold, the light level detection circuitry switches a 0 to 10V dimming input line to approximately 10V, controlling a luminaire to emit maximum light. In response to a determination that light sensed in ambient environment is above the light level threshold, the light level detection circuitry switches the 0 to 10V dimming input line to less than approximately 1 Volt, thereby controlling the luminaire to emit minimum or no light. The photocontrols embodiments described herein advantageously employ the 0 to 10V dimming line as the luminaire control line, and photocontrol power source, unlike previous photocontrols which typically switch the power input to the luminaire. The photocontrol circuit may be housed in a photocontrol module comprising a base and a cover.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2020Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignee: Express Imaging Systems, LLCInventor: William G. Patent number: 11233980Abstract: Techniques for improving laser image quality are disclosed herein. An ultra-compact illumination module includes multiple illuminators, photodetectors, and color filters. The illuminators each emit a different spectrum of light. Because of the compact nature of the module and the positioning of the illuminators relative to one another, the different spectrums of light overlap one another prior to being detected by the photodetectors. Each of the photodetectors is associated with a corresponding one of the illuminators, and each of the color filters is associated with a corresponding one of the photodetectors. Each color filter is positioned in-between its corresponding illuminator and photodetector and passes a particular spectrum of light while filtering out other spectrums of light. Consequently, the photodetectors each receive spectrally filtered light having passed through at least one of the color filters. The power output of the illuminators can also be corrected based on output from the photodetectors.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2019Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignee: MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGLY LICENSING, LLCInventors: Raymond Kirk Price, Yarn Chee Poon, Fei Chen

Patent number: 11232241Abstract: A method for designing new materials for superlubricity comprises developing, on a computational system, a computational supercell comprising x unit cells of a base material, each unit cell comprising y atoms of the base material. The computational system replaces randomly chosen z atoms of the base material with an impurity atom of an impurity material to form a candidate material. The computational system determines volumetric strain of the candidate material. In response to the volumetric strain exceeding a predetermined threshold, the computational system determines that the candidate material has superlubricity. The computational system displays the candidate material to a user if the candidate material has superlubricity.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2018Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignee: UChicago Argonne, LLCInventors: Badri Narayanan, Subramanian Sankaranarayanan, Anirudha V. Patent number: 11233652Abstract: According to one embodiment, in response to receiving a temporary public key (PK_d) from a data processing (DP) accelerator, a system generates a first nonce (nc) at the host system, where the DP accelerator is coupled to the host system over a bus. The system transmits a request to create a session key from the host system to the DP accelerator, the request including a host public key (PK_O) and the first nonce. The system receives a second nonce (ns) from the DP accelerator, where the second nonce is encrypted using the host public key and a temporary private key (SK_d) corresponding to the temporary public key. The system generates a first session key based on the first nonce and the second nonce, which is utilized to encrypt or decrypt subsequent data exchanges between the host system and the DP accelerator.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 2019Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignees: BAIDU USA LLC, BAIDU.COM TIMES TECHNOLOGY (BEIJING) CO., LTD.Inventors: Yueqiang Cheng, Yong Liu, Tao Wei, Jian Ouyang

Patent number: 11231841Abstract: Implementations relate to continuation of playback of media content by different devices. In some implementations, a method includes causing a stream of media content data to be received from a stream source and output by a first device to a user, where a portion of the data is buffered on the first device before output. An indication is detected that the user has stopped using the first device for output of the content data. A place marker indicates a portion of the content that is output approximately at the time of the indication. The method causes the stream of content data to be received and output by a second device starting at the place marker portion. The buffered content data is sent from the first device to the second device for output by the second device before unbuffered portions of the content data received from the stream source.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2020Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignee: Google LLCInventors: Justin Lewis, Ruxandra Georgiana Davies
