Abstract: An automated predictive analytics system disclosed herein provides a novel technique for industry classification. In one implementation, the analytic system provides a method of matching company names, the method including generating a provider-side company dataset, for each record in a client's company records, identify a list of match candidates from the provider-side company dataset that has overlapping company signature fragments, for each client-side company, compute match scores against the list of provider-side match candidates on each signature fragment and form an overall match score, for each client-side company, use the match scores to rank candidates and keep a predetermined number of top predetermined matches, and display the predetermined number of top predetermined matches using a user interface.
Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically verifying optical character recognition (OCR) detected text of a native electronic document having an image layer comprising a matrix of pixels and a text layer comprising a sequence of characters. The method includes determining a location of OCR-detected text in the text layer of the native electronic document based on a pixel-based coordinate location of the OCR-detected text in the image layer of the native electronic document. The method also includes applying the location of the OCR-detected text to the text layer of the native electronic document to detect text in the text layer corresponding to the OCR-detected text. The method also includes rendering only the detected text in the text layer as an output when the OCR-detected text does not match the detected text in the text layer, to improve accuracy of the output text.

A method of controlling a power adapter is also described.
Abstract: A compromise detection system protects data centers (DCs) or other providers in the cloud. The compromise detection system can detect compromised virtual machines (VMs) through changes in network traffic characteristics while avoiding expensive data collection and preserving privacy. The compromise detection system obtains and uses periodically-obtained flow pattern summaries to detect compromised VMs. Agent-based detection on predetermined and compromised VMs can expose (using supervised learning) the network behavior of compromised VMs and then apply the learned model to all VMs in the DC. The compromise detection system can run continuously, protect the privacy of cloud customers, comply with Europe's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and avoid various techniques that both erode privacy and degrade VM performance.

Abstract: A low-deflection roller tube of a motorized roller shade may have an outer diameter that does not exceed 2 inches. When a covering material is attached to the roller tube and the roller tube is supported at opposed ends thereof, deflection of a 10 foot configuration of the roller tube may not exceed ? of an inch, and deflection of a 12 foot configuration of the roller tube may not exceed ¼ of an inch, relative to corresponding unloaded positions of the roller tubes. The roller tube may comprise a plurality of layers of carbon fiber, or may comprise an inner tube that is made of a first material, such as aluminum, and a carbon fiber outer tube that is formed on the inner tube. At least one layer, such as an outermost layer, may comprise high modulus carbon fiber.

Abstract: A microcontroller attachment for use with a microcontroller. The microcontroller attachment includes a first network interface controller (NIC) configured to communicate with a first dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server to receive a first DHCP address and configured to establish a virtual private network (VPN) connection for a computing device to communicate with a remote server, the first NIC configured to be communicatively coupled to the computing device. The microcontroller attachment further includes a second NIC configured to receive a second DHCP address from a second DHCP server running on the microcontroller and send the second DHCP address to the computing device.
Abstract: Example apparatuses and systems are disclosed for providing controlled delivery of electrolysis products to a site which may be used for treatment of infection and ablation of undesirable cells and tissue. A system disclosed may include a power supply, two electrodes, an aqueous matrix that may close the electric circuit between the electrodes at the treated site, and a controller. The controller may control the electrical circuit to induce a direct current through the electrodes and an aqueous matrix to produce electrolysis products. The duration and magnitude of the charge applied may determine the dose of the products applied to the treatment site. The composition of the electrodes and the aqueous matrix may be chosen to produce desired products. An apparatus is disclosed that may be in the form of a pad for applying to a wound. An apparatus is disclosed that may be used for treating internal tissue.

Abstract: A system receives a digital representation of a biometric for a person, uses the digital representation of the biometric to determine and/or otherwise retrieve identity information associated with the person, and uses the identity information to perform one or more actions related to the person's presence in one or more areas. For example, the system may estimate a path for the person and signal an agent electronic device based on the path. In another example, the system may determine a presence of a person within the area and/or transmit information to an agent electronic device regarding the determined presence. In still another example, the system may receive a request to communicate with the person and forward the communication to the person using the identity information.
