  • Patent number: 11226868
Abstract: An aspect includes determining a host write rate based on a number of chunks written to a storage volume during a first replication cycle and determining a target rate based on an estimated number of chunks written during a second replication cycle. The target rate is determined by dividing the number of chunks written during the second replication cycle by a recovery point objective (RPO) period. An aspect also includes transmitting chunks written during the second replication cycle at the target rate.

  • Patent number: 11224211
Abstract: A sprayer boom breakaway joint with a staged release and forced lift system is implemented with an agricultural sprayer. The system provides positive locking to restrain a breakaway joint against movement from a neutral position until an impact with a breakaway boom segment provides sufficient force to overcome the neutral holding force. Once released from the neutral position, the breakaway boom segment may at least initially experience a lesser holding force that biases the breakaway boom segment toward the neutral position and the breakaway boom segment may move along a path that has an upward movement component in addition to a rearward movement component.

  • Patent number: 11225221
Abstract: A safety alert system for a vehicle has a computerized monitoring apparatus storing a pre-programmed telephone number for a specific cellular telephone, a plurality of sensors coupled to the computerized monitoring apparatus, sensing at least on/off status of vehicle ignition system, presence or absence of a person in a driver's seat of the vehicle, and presence of a person or another animal in a location in the vehicle other than the driver's seat, and wireless transmission circuitry adapted to send an alert to a cellular telephone. The computerized monitoring apparatus senses that vehicle ignition is on, a person is in the driver's seat, and there is a person or another animal in a location in the vehicle other than the driver's seat, then senses that the ignition is switched off, then senses that there is no person in the driver's seat, and then sends an alert to the cellular telephone.

  • Patent number: 11227053
Abstract: A malware attack is detected in a computing system by monitoring file I/O and coordinated network I/O traffic and referencing criteria including a correlation coefficient calculated relative to the I/O. If the file I/O and coordinated network I/O was initiated by an executing process that meets criteria indicative of malware, a correlation coefficient is calculated with respect to the file I/O and coordinated network I/O. The executing process is identified as malware if a threshold criteria is met that considers the correlation coefficient.

  • Patent number: 11227124
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and computer readable media are described related to utilizing a context of an ongoing human-to-computer dialog to enhance the ability of an automated assistant to interpret and respond when a user abruptly transitions between different domains (subjects). In various implementations, natural language input may be received from a user during an ongoing human-to-computer dialog with an automated assistant. Grammar(s) may be selected to parse the natural language input. The selecting may be based on topic(s) stored as part of a contextual data structure associated with the ongoing human-to-computer dialog. The natural language input may be parsed based on the selected grammar(s) to generate parse(s). Based on the parse(s), a natural language response may be generated and output to the user using an output device. Any topic(s) raised by the parse(s) or the natural language response may be identified and added to the contextual data structure.

  • Patent number: 11226874
Abstract: A system, method, and computer readable medium for hybrid kernel-mode and user-mode checkpointing of multi-process applications. The computer readable medium includes computer-executable instructions for execution by a processing system. A multi-process application runs on primary hosts and is checkpointed by a checkpointer comprised of a kernel-mode checkpointer module and one or more user-space interceptors providing barrier synchronization, checkpointing thread, resource flushing, and an application virtualization space. Checkpoints may be written to storage and the application restored from said stored checkpoint at a later time. Checkpointing is transparent to the application and requires no modification to the application, operating system, networking stack or libraries. In an alternate embodiment the kernel-mode checkpointer is built into the kernel.

  • Patent number: 11228545
Abstract: Described is a system (and method) for cross application granular restore of email attachments backed up to a cloud-based object storage. More particularly, the system may allow various non-email applications to directly restore an email attachment of a backed-up email without requiring restoration of the email itself. The attachment may be a file, item (e.g., contact, event, message, etc.), or another type of attachment such as a link to a file or an item. To provide such a capability, the system may decouple the attachment from an email when performing a backup to an object storage. The system may also store specialized metadata that may be leveraged when performing an efficient restore of the attachment.

Abstract: A system for dynamically updating a head-related transfer function (HRTF) model that is customized to a user. The system receives one or more images of the user captured by one or more imaging devices. The system determines a pose of the user using the one or more captured images. The pose of the user includes a head-torso orientation of the user. The system updates a HRTF model for the user based on the determined pose including the head-torso orientation. The system generates one or more sound filters using the updated HRTF model and applies the one or more sound filters to audio content to generate spatialized audio content. The system provides the spatialized audio content to the user.

  • Patent number: 11228795
Abstract: In an anonymous matching system, a demand-side service platform (DSP) may select segments to populate a target audience. A data warehouse platform and a multichannel video programming distributor (MVPD) platform ingest address lists, eliminate personally identifiable information (PII) from the address lists, and process the de-identified addresses to generate deterministic unique anonymous household identifiers (UHIDs). Households may be selected, for example, at the DSP's direction, to form a query request without exposing the PII. In response to the query request, the MVPD platform determines a matching UHID and includes a matching household attribute, such as an IP address or the like, in a query response without exposing the PII.
