Abstract: Methods and apparatus to detect adversarial malware are disclosed. An example adversarial malware detector includes a machine learning engine to classify a first feature representation representing features of a program as benign or malware, a feature perturber to, when the first feature representation is classified as benign, remove a first one of the features to form a second feature representation, and a decider to classify the program as adversarial malware when the machine learning engine classifies the second feature representation as malware.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for filling a container with fragile fruit involving submerging the container in water to better distribute the fragile fruit within the container. The container may be filled with fragile fruit either before or after being submerged in water. The fragile fruit may be transported using a stream of water or other suitable fluid medium.

Abstract: A load control system has a system controller and a plurality of load control devices which receive power from a utility power source. The load control system includes at least one emergency load control device which receives power from a backup power source in the event of a power failure of the utility power source. The emergency load control device is configured to enter an emergency mode during the power failure of the utility power source, wherein in the emergency mode, the emergency load control device controls respective electrical loads according to emergency mode preset settings, and the emergency load control device transmits a message to the system controller to indicate the emergency load control device is in the emergency mode. The system controller is configured to transmit a message to the emergency load control device to exit the emergency mode when power from the utility power source is restored.

Abstract: In particular embodiments, a computing system may display a virtual-reality scene on a device worn by a user. The system may capture an image of a physical environment surrounding the user and detect an object of interest in the image. The system may determine, based on the detected object, that one or more alert criteria are satisfied. The system may generate depth measurements of at least the object. The system may generate, based on the depth measurements, a model representing the object. The system may render, based on a viewpoint of the user and the model, an output image depicting a visualization of the object. The system may display the output image on the device worn by the user in response to the determination that the one or more alert criteria are satisfied.

Abstract: A system and method for omnichannel voice and text-based routing, transfer, and customer-to-enterprise communications with a secure smart mobile user device. The system is a cloud-based network containing an interaction control server, a routing engine, an optimization engine, a media translation server, a mobile application, a business entity portal, mobile and compute devices for business enterprise and customer, and an enterprise database. Taken together or in part, said system optimizes customer interactions by delivering context aware text message, chat or email to customers; and when requested by customer, optimally routes with context, based upon a multitude of variables, to best available resource to handle the customer interaction. The system may be accessed through web browsers, purpose-built computer, mobile phone applications or a secure smart mobile user device.

A steam line is in communication with the reactor core and a turbine that is connected to an electrical generator. A dry standby liquid control system includes a standby vessel containing dry powder containing boron and including a high pressure water supply in communication with the standby vessel via a first closed valve, wherein the standby vessel is in communication with the reactor vessel via a second closed valve.

Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments, an apparatus and methods for providing alternative communications are provided. The apparatus may include a housing arranged to hold a personal communication device. The apparatus may provide an additional communication path for the personal communication device which was previously not there. In some embodiments, an additional communication mechanism may be provided for a newer telecommunication standard or form of communication. In another embodiment, an added close proximity data communication device may be provided, which enables a personal communication device to perform in close proximity standards that it otherwise may not be able to.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a curable composition that includes an epoxy resin and a curing component comprising a blend of at least two amines. The curable composition may be combined with reinforced fibers and cured to form a composite article which can be used in various applications, such as in wind turbine blades.

Abstract: A means for installing material, through a fuel assembly instrument thimble insert, into the existing instrument thimbles in nuclear fuel assemblies for the purpose of allowing the material to be converted to commercially valuable quantities of desired radioisotopes during reactor power operations during a remainder of a fuel cycle and removing the radioisotopes from the core through the reactor flange opening once the fuel assemblies have been removed for refueling. The invention also describes methods that can be used to harvest the irradiated material so it can be packaged for transportation from the reactor to a location where the desired radioisotope(s) can be extracted from the fuel assembly instrument thimble insert.

Abstract: A splice modulating oligonucleotide (SMO), is provided having a sequence designed to modulate the splicing of a SCN8A pre-mRNA, wherein the SMO sequence specifically binds to a sequence in the SCN8A pre-mRNA. Certain embodiments of the invention provide methods of using the SMOs described herein, including methods of treating or preventing epilepsy or a Dravet Spectrum disorder in subject (e.g., a mammal, e.g., a human), including the administration of an SMO or composition described herein to the subject. A method of using the SMOs is described herein to treat spinal cord injury, cancer, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, traumatic brain injury, autism, hemiplegic migraine, multiple sclerosis, CNS infections, Parkinson's and Huntington's disease, or other neurological diseases or disorders in which excitotoxicity or hyperexcitability contributes to the pathology.

Third and fourth optical data signals at the first and second wavelengths may be communicated out of the optoelectronic transceiver via the multi-wavelength grating coupler.

In one example, a golf club head cover may include a body portion having an outer shell portion, an inner liner portion, and an opening for receiving a golf club head. The golf club head cover may include a magnetic portion that allows the golf club head cover to be magnetically attached to a metallic structure, such as a steel golf cart basket. A magnet identifier may be visibly located proximate to the magnetic portion. The magnet identifier may notify an individual as to a location of the magnetic portion. Abstract: There is disclosed techniques for data reduction reporting in storage systems. For example in one embodiment, the techniques comprise update a counter denoting an amount of data reduction obtained when a data reduction feature associated with a data reduction requirement is enabled in the storage system when one or more allocation units in a storage system satisfy a data reduction requirement of the storage system. The techniques further comprise generating a snapshot of at least a portion of a file related to the said allocation units such that a first relationship exists when the snapshot is generated and a second relationship exists when the snapshot or the file is updated. The techniques also comprise determining a data reduction attributed to the data reduction feature based on an amount of data reduction denoted by the data reduction counter and an amount of sharing and/or unsharing of indirect blocks including mapping pointers in the relationship between the snapshot and the file.

Abstract: An embedded image sensor package including a transparent cover having a first side and an opposing second side. A first layer couples over the second side of the transparent cover and has an opening. An electrically conductive layer couples in or over the first layer and electrically couples with one or more electrical contacts exposed on an outer surface of the package. An image sensor chip having a first side with an image sensor and an opposing second side electrically couples with the electrically conductive layer at the first side of the image sensor chip. The image sensor chip couples over the first layer so the first side of the image sensor chip faces the second side of the transparent cover through the opening. The image sensor chip, first layer, and transparent cover at least partially define a cavity hermetically sealed using an underfill material. The package includes no wirebonds.

Abstract: Innovations in hash table construction and hash-based block matching for image encoding or video encoding are described. For example, an encoder determines hash values for base-size candidate blocks in a reference picture. The encoder stores, in a hash table, the hash values for the base-size candidate blocks. The encoder encodes a trial-size current block in a current picture. In some cases, the trial-size current block has a block size larger than the base block size. As part of the encoding, the encoder uses hash-based block matching, between base-size current blocks of the trial-size current block and the base-size candidate blocks, to identify a trial-size matching block, if any, in the reference picture. The encoder stores hash values only for the base-size candidate blocks. This can significantly reduce the computational cost and memory cost for hash table construction during encoding, without hurting compression efficiency or the overall speed of encoding.
