Abstract: The invention includes an apparatus and method for holding a plurality of items. These methods and apparatuses have a base member including a plurality of receptacles, the receptacles configured to hold a flexible arm. The flexible arm including a distal and where the distal end has a holding element configured to hold any number of things. For example, the holding element could hold a display, a notepad, or some other item. In some embodiments, the holding element includes a clip. In other embodiments, the holding element is a USB plug or a computer display. The flexible arms can be made from a material which holds a shape. In this context, the flexible arm can be manipulated by the user to point the display in a particular direction or orientation.

Abstract: An ultrasound imaging system can include first and second ultrasound transducer arrays and a processor circuit, coupled to the first and second ultrasound transducer arrays. The processor circuit can be configured to generate separate first and second volumetric ultrasound image data sets using the first and second ultrasound transducer arrays respectively and configured to combine the separate first and second volumetric ultrasound image data sets to generate an integrated volumetric image.

Abstract: An optical detection system for a crane having a counterweight assembly includes an image capture assembly having one or more image capture devices configured to capture an image of the counterweight assembly and an optical control system. The optical control system is configured to detect one or more objects in the captured image, the one or more objects selected from the counterweight assembly, a weight unit of the counterweight assembly, a stack of weight units of the counterweight assembly, and a marker on the counterweight assembly. The optical control system is also configured to analyze the one or more detected objects and determine a status of counterweight assembly based on the analysis of the one or more detected objects.

Abstract: A hard disk assembly (HDAs) that include a tuning data memory at least including tuning data regarding the HDA. The HDAs may lack an internal disk controller, but rather may communicate the tuning data and/or other HDA-specific data (e.g., firmware, certification data, etc.) to a reader device comprising a disk controller. In this regard, the reader device may coordinate with the HDA once the tuning data is received to operate the HDA to perform TO commands in response to commands received at the reader device from a host. In turn, upon failure of an HDA, a new HDA may be swapped into place to communicate with the reader device. Because the HDAs may lack onboard disk controllers, the cost and complexity of each HDA may be reduced.

An example method includes instructing, by executing an instruction with a processor, a trusted execution environment to generate an encryption key and a certificate for a document, the certificate including expiry information for the document, the certificate associated with identification information of the document, and the expiry information indicative of a time period for which the encryption key is valid to decrypt the document; encrypting, by executing an instruction with the processor, the document using the encryption key; transmitting the certificate to a first remote network storage device; and transmitting the document to a second remote network storage device.

Abstract: Described is a method and system for connectivity diagnostics in communication systems. The method comprises: querying a first communication device at a first time and a second time to determine whether a second communication device is connected to the first communication device and to determine a value of an operational parameter at the first and second times; and determining the second communication device disconnected from the first communication device based on detecting the second communication device was connected to the first communication device at both the first time and the second time, and detecting the value of the operational parameter at the second time is inside a range of threshold values. In one embodiment, the method comprises determining a link is unstable for connectivity based on connection duration, number and/or pattern of connection and/or disconnection events, and/or traffic activity during connection and/or disconnection events.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide for live encoding systems that can replicate a current encoded frame instead of re-encoding said current frame, and then adjust the replicated frame to different bitrates, resolutions, and/or contexts as necessary for the several different adaptive bitrate streams. In addition, various embodiments of the invention can extend a duration of a current frame being repackaged and/or re-encoded. Utilizing these and other techniques, live encoding systems in accordance with embodiments of the invention can more efficiently handle gaps in received data, slower feeding of data, and/or heavy loads on server hardware.

Abstract: According to one example, an exercise system includes a base, a vertical housing extending vertically outward from the base, a first weighted touchpoint moveably coupled to the vertical housing, a second weighted touchpoint moveably coupled to the vertical housing, and one or more weight systems configured to provide weight to the weighted touchpoints. The exercise system further includes a control system that determines randomized workouts that include a random selection of a muscle group, a weight amount, a weight differential, a number of sets of an exercise, and/or a number of repetitions in the set. The control system may also cause the weight system to adjust the weight of the weighted touchpoints based on the randomized workout.

Each radio point is configured to exchange radio frequency (RF) signals with a wireless device that transmits a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) from a first physical location in a site; and extract at least one SRS metric from the SRS. The communication system also includes a baseband controller communicatively coupled to the plurality of radio points. The baseband controller is configured to determine a signature vector based on the at least one SRS metric from each of the plurality of radio points. The communication system also includes a machine learning computing system communicatively coupled to the baseband controller. The machine learning computing system is configured to use a machine learning model to determine location data for the first physical location of the wireless device based on the signature vector.

The device has hardware including storage with at least one first class of storage and at least one second class of storage, the first class of storage being faster than the second class of storage. The method includes obtaining log event data from at least one component or service on the device that is to be delivered to a component or service on a distinct device. Each log event data item has a priority. If a connection to an external location is lost, at least some of the log event data items are selectively stored in the storage, wherein the storing is based on priority of the log event data items. Otherwise, if the connection is not lost, at least some of the log event data items are sent to the at least one external location.

In the processes, a flow of a fluid is adjusted with a turbine in order to provide the fluid with a flow associated with at least one process condition of a chemical processing unit. The turbine wheel is rotated within the turbine, and the turbine wheel is configured to transmit rotational movement to an electrical generator. The resistance of the turbine is modulated and adjusts the flow of the fluid through the turbine. A response time of at least one steady state process condition to a new steady state process condition of at least 10% difference is at least one second to reach 50% of the difference between the at least one steady state process condition and the new steady state process condition after modulating the resistance of the turbine.
