Abstract: A method for execution by a node of a computing device includes determining a plurality of queries for concurrent execution. A plurality of sets of segments required to execute the plurality of queries is determined, and a set of virtual segments in the plurality of sets of segments is determined. A subset of the set of virtual segments is be determined by identifying ones of the set of virtual segments that are required to execute multiple ones of plurality of queries. A locally rebuilt set of rows for each of the set of virtual segments is generated by utilizing a recovery scheme. For each one of the set of virtual segments included in the subset, in response to generating the locally rebuilt set of rows, concurrent partial execution of corresponding multiple ones of the plurality of queries is facilitated.

The method further includes applying at least one overlay material, by at least one overlay device, onto the at least one ultraviolet reflective substrate such that a photorealistic visible image and a photorealistic non-visible image are dually formed on the at least one ultraviolet reflective substrate.

Abstract: This document relates to an optical device that uses adaptive optics as part of an optical system. The adaptive optics can be used to correct light rays that correspond to a portion of an eye box based on information received from an eye-tracking unit, and can also correct for aberrations in the optics in the optical device. The adaptive optics include corrective elements that can be modified using modifying elements to correct the angle of light rays, such that rays associated with a specific pupil position and gaze direction of a user's eye can be made parallel and ensure a high quality image is viewed by the user.

Abstract: A door assembly for a motor vehicle is provided having a door body and a door trim panel attached to the door body on the vehicle inside, with a first impact region and a second impact region formed integrally therewith, wherein at each of the impact regions, an intermediate space is formed between the door trim panel and the door body. In order to allow an optimized protection of an occupant's pelvic region from impact by a vehicle door in a side impact, it is provided that a nominal break line is formed between the first impact region and the second impact region, along which the first impact region or seat impact region can be separated from the second impact region by a force acting in the vehicle transverse direction.

Abstract: This disclosure describes new horizontal roller-piston/vane type rotary compressors with novel features such as new lubricating oil circuit designs to provide reliable oil lubrication, and increase tiltability during operation. Also new multi-pump configurations of horizontal compressors are introduced in order to significantly increase redundancy, reliability, and turn down ratio. Rotary compressors may be configured with subsets of the disclosed features to configure those compressors for specific applications.

Abstract: A method including training two sets of item embeddings for items in an item catalog and a set of user embeddings for users, using a triple embeddings model, with triplets. The triplets each can include a respective first user of the users, a respective first item from the item catalog, and a respective second item from the item catalog, in which the respective first user selected the respective first item and the respective second item in a respective same basket. The method also can include generating an approximate nearest neighbor index for the two sets of item embeddings. The method additionally can include receiving a basket including basket items selected by a user from the item catalog. The method further can include grouping the basket items of the basket into categories based on a respective item category of each of the basket items. The method additionally can include randomly sampling a respective anchor item from each of the categories.

Abstract: A heat exchanger is provided. The heat exchanger provides a first plurality of tubes and a second plurality of flow passages which furcate near one of the first and second manifolds into two or more furcated flow passages and subsequently converge to exit the heat exchanger. The plurality of furcated flow passages are intertwined, reducing the distance between flow passages containing each fluid therebetween to improve thermal transfer. Further, the furcations create changes of direction of the fluid to re-establish new thermal boundary layers within the flow passages to further reduce resistance to thermal transfer.

Abstract: An example of a drone includes a drone chassis, a plurality of motors attached to the drone chassis and a plurality of propellers coupled to the plurality of motors. The drone also includes a net assembly mounted above the drone chassis. The net assembly includes an enclosure and a hinged portion that extends upwards from the enclosure in an open position and folds down in a closed position.

Abstract: A method of assembling a vehicle road wheel includes providing a tool fixture configured to support a press-fit load and arranging on the tool fixture an isolation plate defining a plate fastener aperture and having a locating projection. The method additionally includes arranging on the isolation plate a wheel subassembly having a hub surface and an opposing fastener surface and defining a hub aperture and a wheel fastener aperture, such that the hub surface rests against the isolation plate. The method also includes aligning the hub aperture with the locating projection and the wheel fastener aperture with the plate fastener aperture. The method additionally includes installing an insert into the wheel fastener aperture and engaging the insert with the plate fastener aperture. Furthermore, the method includes applying a load to the insert to press-fit the insert into the isolation plate at the plate fastener aperture and thereby assemble the wheel.

Abstract: A beverage container topper is disclosed. The beverage container topper has an interior hollow passage for beverage to flow, and comprises a cup section, a channel section and a fastening section, wherein the inner surface of the fastening section is formed to have two or more fastening structures for fastening two or more types of top portions, respectively, of beverage containers. A user may fasten the top portion of a beverage container to one of the two or more fastening structures, and tilt the combination of the beverage container and topper to flow out the beverage from the beverage container through the beverage container topper to his/her mouth.

Abstract: A combine feeder slat having a first base, a second base, and a slat body. The bases are located at respective ends of the slat, and have respective upper and lower surfaces. The slat body extends longitudinally and connects the bases. The slat body has a variable profile as viewed along the longitudinal direction, that transitions from a first profile shape at the first base, to an intermediate profile shape between the first base and the second base, to a second profile shape at the second base. The intermediate profile shape includes a front lip, a rear lip, and an upward-facing concave projection that connects the front lip to the rear lip and extends below an attachment plane defined between the first lower surface and the second lower surface. The first base, second base, and slat body are made from a unitary wrought metal part.

The four elongate members can include light emitting devices for illuminating the interior of the container and/or temperature altering elements for cooling and/or heating the interior of the container. The container can have a rectangular base and a rectangular sidewall extending upwardly from the base. The sidewall can define four corners of the container, and four elongate recesses can be formed in the sidewall proximate the four corners of the sidewall to receive the elongate light members. The recesses can be sized and shaped to conform to the elongate insert members so that the insert members can be releasably retained within the elongate recesses.

The data formatting module includes a sample and hold circuit operable to sample and hold an n-bit digital value of filtered digital data from the digital filtering circuit to produce an n-bit sampled digital data value, a digital to digital converter circuit operable to adjust formatting of the n-bit sampled digital data value to produce a formatted digital value, and a data packeting circuit operable to generate a packet of received digital data from a plurality of formatted digital values.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for creating digital flash cards that include links to content from one or more digital content sources, referred to herein as a flash card mode. The mode allows a user to create a digital flash card by selecting a portion of a digital content source and performing a create command. The created flash card includes at least two virtual sides and a first side of the flash card identifies the location of the selected portion of digital content. The location may be identified, for example, by a canonical fragment identifier (CFI). Text can then be entered for a second side of the flash card. Flash cards can be shared with other users, and because the flash cards only identify locations of content within digital content sources, the mode is well-suited to handle sources including digital rights management (DRM) protection, for example.

Abstract: Generative adversarial models have several benefits; however, due to mode collapse, these generators face a quality-diversity trade-off (i.e., the generator models sacrifice generation diversity for increased generation quality). Presented herein are embodiments that improve the performance of adversarial content generation by decelerating mode collapse. In one or more embodiments, a cooperative training paradigm is employed where a second model is cooperatively trained with the generator and helps efficiently shape the data distribution of the generator against mode collapse. Moreover, embodiments of a meta learning mechanism may be used, where the cooperative update to the generator serves as a high-level meta task and which helps ensures the generator parameters after the adversarial update stay resistant against mode collapse. In experiments, tested employments demonstrated efficient slowdown of mode collapse for the adversarial text generators.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for maintaining an up-to-date product database. Upon receipt of a description of an event forecasted to occur in a geographic region, one or more sellers in the geographic region may be identified. Upon identification of the one or more sellers in the geographic region, online information of one or more products that are offered for sale may be accessed, and compared with information from the product database for the one or more products. Based on the comparison, a product of the one or more products having a first value for a characteristic of the product in the product database that is different from a second value for the characteristic of the product in the accessed online information may be identified, and the product database may be updated to change the characteristic of the product to the second value.
