  • Patent number: 10999345
Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to real-time video delivery for connected home (“CH”) applications. According to one aspect of the concepts and technologies, a CH controller (“CHC”) can receive a request for delivery of a video stream captured by a CH video camera to a user device. The CHC can determine availability of a wireline communications link to a wireline network and availability of a wireless communications link to a wireless network over which to deliver the video stream to the user device. In response to determining that the wireline communications link and the wireless communications link are available, the CHC can obtain a wireline performance measurement for the wireline communications link, obtain a wireless performance measurement for the wireline communications link, compare the wireline performance measurement and the wireless performance measurement, and select either the wireline communications link or the wireless communications link based upon the comparison.

  • Patent number: 10998611
Abstract: An antenna assembly includes a radio frequency (RF) connector connected to a first end of a coaxial cable and a wire antenna attached to a second end of the coaxial cable. The wire antenna may be made of a shape memory alloy, such as nitinol. Examples of RF connectors include U.FL, IFEX, WAX, IPX, AMC, MHF and UMCC connectors that allow the wire antenna to be removably attached to a printed circuit board (PCB) of a lighting control device and to avoid hardwiring the antenna to the PCB. The device that includes the antenna assembly may be incorporated into a luminaire for wireless control of the luminaire. The lighting control device may be installed within the luminaire, such that the wire antenna is positioned between a light source and a diffuser. A number of such luminaires may be combined to provide an intelligent lighting system.

  • Patent number: 10998182
Abstract: A semiconductor wafer has a base material. The semiconductor wafer may have an edge support ring. A grinding phase of a surface of the semiconductor wafer removes a portion of the base material. The grinder is removed from or lifted off the surface of the semiconductor wafer during a separation phase. The surface of the semiconductor wafer and under the grinder is rinsed during the grinding phase and separation phase to remove particles. A rinsing solution is dispensed from a rinsing solution source to rinse the surface of the semiconductor wafer. The rinsing solution source can move in position while dispensing the rinsing solution to rinse the surface of the semiconductor wafer. The grinding phase and separation phase are repeated during the entire grinding operation, when grinding conductive TSVs, or during the final grinding stages, until the final thickness of the semiconductor wafer is achieved.

  • Patent number: 10993465
Abstract: Techniques to generate a flavor profile using artificial intelligence are disclosed. A flavor classifier classifies flavors for a given set of ingredients of a recipe from a set of possible classes of flavors. The flavor classifier may use different deep learning models to allow for different granularity levels corresponding to each flavor based on desired preciseness with classification of a particular flavor. A respective flavor predictor may or may not be used for each granularity level based on output of a certainty level classifier used for determining a preceding level of granularity.

  • Patent number: 10997373
Abstract: Examples provide a system for generating document-based responses to user provided queries. The response generation component creates a set of generated utterances based on text associated with a set of sentences in at least one document. Each utterance in the set of generated utterances is assigned an intent. A filter component identifies at least one utterance from the set of generated utterances having a same intent as a user-provided utterance to form a set of filtered utterances. A selection component identifies one or more utterance(s) from the set of filtered utterances having a shortest distance from the user-provided utterance. If more than one utterance is identified, a weighted summarization response is output to the user based on a predefined answer to each utterance in the selected set of utterances.

  • Patent number: 10998816
Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses are provided for determining the efficiency of a charge pump. A charge pump is driven during a measurement period without limiting its input current. The driving can include ramping up the output of the charge pump from an initial level to a final level and maintaining the output at the final level. A counter counts a number of clock pulses provided to the charge pump during the measurement period. Using a current mirror which limits the input current, a ratio of the current mirror is determined which results in a similar number of clock pulses during the measurement period. The ratio indicates an efficiency of the charge pump and can be used to set control parameters such as ramp up rate and clock frequency.

  • Patent number: 10995906
Abstract: A method of storing hydrogen involves forming an excavation in the earth and constructing a storage tank therein comprised of integrated primary and secondary containment structures. The primary containment structure composed of a plurality of joinable cylindrical segments, or pre-fabricated sections joined to form a cylinder within the excavation. The secondary containment structure formed by pumping a curable, flowable composition into the cylinder, allowing it to flow out the bottom and up the second annulus to the earth's surface, and then hardening; thereby encasing the primary containment structure. The bottom of the cylinder is sealed with the bottom assembly. The top assembly is attached to the cylinder and tubing and packer are run into the cylinder creating a first annulus between the cylinder and tubing. Top assembly is sealed, fluids circulated out, and the tank dried. Thereafter, the tank is capable of safely storing hydrogen gas.

  • Patent number: 10997540
Abstract: Resources are required to satisfy various needs and wants of people, businesses, and machines. Resources come in the forms of time, talents, money, materials, energy, services, people, knowledge, communication, and other tangible and intangible assets. When both the capacities and the needs of multiple resources are stored in a way that allows for them to be connected together using computers, they can be efficiently and effectively matched. This matching creates shared value, which has potential academic, economic, societal and philanthropic benefits. Connected computer system(s) can query and match resources together in a way that is mutually beneficial. While a common lexicon is the simplest way to perform the matching, natural language processing, machine translation, or use of similar technologies may be optimal. Any method of collecting these inputs should be able to handle one or multiple capacities, and one or multiple needs.
