  • Patent number: 11978304
Abstract: A system and method for hosting and managing a live game are disclosed which includes a live gaming table for live players and a live dealer. In an embodiment an application configures a player's mobile device to receive an invitation from a casino to play the table game based upon the player being, based upon location aware technology, being in or near the casino. Accepting the invention permits the player to reserve a position at the gaming table and displays a machine readable code at the player's mobile device. The player positions at the gaming table include video display and player input devices (VDPIDs) and a code reader to read the displayed code and access the player's electronic account. Using the VDPID the player may convert between electronic funds and physical gaming chips, participate in video bonus event play and back-bet on other players.

  • Patent number: 11967200
Abstract: A method and apparatus for a chip tracking system. A chip tray is positioned above a light-diffusion box. The chip tray has a transparent portion for a column of the chip tray One or more image sensors are positioned with a viewing perspective of chips through a transparent portion of an underside of the chip tray A tracking controller is configured to illuminate the light-diffusion box with diffused light that shines through the transparent portion of the chip tray and illuminates the edge of one or more chips in a chip stack visible via the transparent portion. The one or more image sensors capture an image of one or more chips in the column in response to illumination of the light-diffusion box. The tracking controller analyzes, via a neural network model, a color pattern on the edge of the one or more chips. The tracking controller associates the color pattern on the edge of the one or more chips with a denomination value for the chip stack.

  • Patent number: 11967209
Abstract: A gaming system includes at least one input device adapted to receive a physical item associated with a monetary value that establishes a credit balance, an input indicative of a wager drawn from the credit balance for a wagering game, and a cashout input that initiates a payout from the credit balance. In response to a wager input, a wagering game is initiated. The gaming system includes an electronic display device adapted to display an active array of symbol positions that are populated by symbols randomly generated from one or more spins of a set of symbol-bearing reels. The active array may be progressively expanded in response to collecting a requisite number of special symbols among the randomly generated symbols at each active array size.

  • Patent number: 11961369
Abstract: A gaming system comprises a gaming machine and game-logic circuitry. The gaming machine comprises a display device that presents a symbol array. The game-logic circuitry presents a first outcome by populating the symbol array with a plurality of symbols, locks, in response to the first outcome including at least one value-bearing symbol in a subset of the array, the value-bearing symbol in the subset, initiates a subset counter associated with the subset in response to the first outcome, presents at least one subsequent outcome by populating the array with another plurality of randomly selected symbols, locks any additional value-bearing symbols populating the subset, provides, in response to a number of value-bearing symbols meeting a trigger amount, an award as a function of values indicated by the locked value-bearing symbols, and, in response to the subset counter meeting a termination count, removes any locked value-bearing symbols from the subset.

  • Patent number: 11961368
Abstract: A gaming machine includes an electronic display device configured to display an array of symbol positions and registers. The registers are associated with respective subsets of the symbol positions of the array. Game-logic circuitry directs the display device to animate a plurality of spins of symbol-bearing reels wherein, in each spin, the reels are spun and stopped to land symbols in the array. For each landed value-bearing symbol, the symbol value is added to the applicable register, and the landing position is tagged. In response to tagging all the symbol positions in a subset, that subset's register value is awarded and that subset's tags are cleared. In response to no value-bearing symbols landing in a subset during a reel spin, that subset's register and tags are cleared.

  • Patent number: 11961355
Abstract: According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a system is provided for controlling a network game. In some instances, a processor of the system selects a winning card value of an undealt playing card for the network game. The network game spans a plurality of gaming tables having a deck of cards used for individual card games separate from the network game. A shuffler at each table shuffles the deck of cards for the individual card games. The system further detects, in response to analyzing image data at each of the gaming tables by a machine learning model, that a playing card, having the winning card value, is dealt. The system further determines, by a machine learning model, a participant to whom the playing card was dealt. The system further electronically validates a win for the network game with an electronic account for the participant.

  • Patent number: 11948432
Abstract: Systems and methods of operating a wheel are described herein. The wheel includes a plurality of game wedges and a wedge selector. The plurality of game wedges includes a first variable wedge, a second variable wedge, and at least one moveable wedge. Each game wedge is associated with a respective award and a respective probability of selection. The method includes generating, using a random-number generator, a random number representing a selected game wedge of the plurality of game wedges, causing the wedge selector to visibly identify the selected game wedge, and in response to a trigger game wedge of the game wedges being the selected game wedge, shifting the moveable wedge around the wheel to change a visible size of the first variable wedge and the respective probability of selection of the first variable game wedge proportional to the change in visible size.

  • Patent number: 11915552
Abstract: Disclosed are methods for augmenting progressive meter information presented in association with a gaming device. The methods include controlling a camera on a mobile device using an augmented reality gaming assistance component and enabling a user to employ the camera to capture an image of a game screen display, the image including one or more progressive meters associated with a respective progressive award. The captured image is sent via a network to a server that, for each of one or more progressive meters, determines a location of the progressive meters within the captured image, determines a value for each associated progressive award based on the captured image at each respective location, and determines a progressive rating for the associated progressive award based on the value. Content based on the one or more progressive ratings is received at the mobile device and displayed to the user via a display.

  • Patent number: 11915546
Abstract: A system includes a plurality of stationary gaming tables positioned at a plurality of respective locations, a moveable table game device, one or more processors, and a server. Each gaming table includes a table transceiver. The table game device includes a device transceiver that receives data signals including identification data from the table transceivers via a first communication network. The processors determine an identity of the gaming tables based on the identification data, calculate a relative distance between the table game device and each gaming table based on at least one characteristic of a respective data signal, and generate location data indicating a relative location of the gaming device as a function of the calculated relative distances. The server collects the location data via a second communication network and stores the location data for analysis and location tracking.

  • Patent number: 11893862
Abstract: A gaming system comprises game-logic circuitry and a display device configured to display an active array of symbol positions. The game-logic circuitry establishes award levels having respective awards and respective array sizes and establishes a predefined path defining progression through the award levels. The display device selectively populates the active array with symbols through one or more game cycle outcomes, updates, in response to detecting a branching condition within the game cycle outcomes, the predefined path to a modified path such that progression from the first award level is altered from a second award level to a third award level, and, in response to progressing from the first award level to the third award level based on the modified path: (i) modifies the active array to the array size of the third award level, and (ii) repeats the selective population for one or more additional game cycle outcomes.

Abstract: A gaming machine includes an electronic display device configured to display an array of symbol positions and registers. The registers are associated with respective subsets of one or more of the symbol positions of the array. Game-logic circuitry directs the display device to animate a plurality of spins of symbol-bearing reels wherein, in each spin, the reels are spun and stopped to land symbols in the array. The plurality of symbols include value-bearing symbols, redemption symbols, and reset symbols. For each landed value-bearing symbol, the symbol value is added to the applicable register. In response to accumulating a predetermined number of the redemption symbols in a subset, the value in that subset's register is awarded. In response to the reset symbol landing in a subset, the value in that subset's register is reset.
