Abstract: To firmly retain the jaw of a lathe chuck against movement it is provided with a locking mechanism having a pair of locking members arranged to bear on the chuck face, and an actuating means adjustably mounted on the jaw so as to force the locking members against the chuck face for locking the jaw in a fixed position relative to the chuck.
