Patent number: 10194063Abstract: A device for capturing at least three views of an object with a camera includes a housing having a cavity. A slot in the housing communicates with the cavity and is adapted to accept an object. A plurality of mirrors in the cavity reflects at least three views of the object towards the camera, allowing the camera to capture an image of the views. A system for capturing multiple views of an object includes a housing having a cavity. A slot in the housing communicates with the cavity and is adapted to receive an object. A camera, a light source, and a plurality of mirrors in the cavity reflect at least three views of the object towards the camera, allowing the camera to capture an image three views.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 2016Date of Patent: January 29, 2019Assignee: Lockmasters Security Institute, Inc.Inventors: J. Clayton Miller, Justin D. Seacat

Patent number: 9512664Abstract: An apparatus for preventing unwanted opening of a locked enclosure. The enclosure includes a lock, a door and a door bolt. The door is openable when the door bolt is retracted from a structure surrounding the enclosure. The apparatus includes a frangible guard plate, and an arm coupled to the guard plate by a spring. The arm is maintained in a first position under a bias of the spring. When the guard plate is fractured, the arm is free to move from the first position into a second position. The arm is positioned to engage the door bolt in the second position, thereby preventing retraction of the door bolt.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2014Date of Patent: December 6, 2016Assignee: Lockmasters Security Institute, Inc.Inventor: Thomas E. Jasper

Patent number: 9269136Abstract: Embodiments relate to replicating a key from an image of the key when the key is unavailable to replicate the key from the key itself. In a first embodiment, a key blank of the key is generated when an end image of the end of the key is rotated to create a mirror image of the end image so that an outline of the mirror image is similar to a corresponding keyhole. A key blank generating machine generates a key blank of the key from the mirror image. In a second embodiment, a replica of the key is cut from the key blank when the maximum depths of cuts in the key image are measured. A bitting number database is queried for bitting numbers that correspond to the measured maximum depths. The bitting numbers are provided to a key machine to cut the key blank to generate a replica.Type: GrantFiled: January 14, 2014Date of Patent: February 23, 2016Assignee: Lockmasters Security Institute, Inc.Inventors: James W. Day, Matthew C. Myers

Patent number: 7686354Abstract: A lock bolt release system operable with a door bolt supported by a door providing access to a secure area. A pawl is pivotally mounted on a distal end of a lock bolt, and the pawl is pivoted by operation of the door bolt prior to the lock bolt being movable by the door bolt. A wedge block is movably mounted on the lock bolt and is effective to block motion of the pawl and the door bolt. A stop member is located adjacent the wedge block and blocks motion of the wedge block, thereby preventing the door bolt from being disengaged from the structure. The stop member is movable, which permits the wedge block to be moved by the pawl and the door bolt to contact and move the lock bolt, thus, permitting the door bolt to be disengaged from the structure.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2006Date of Patent: March 30, 2010Assignee: Lockmasters Security Institute, Inc.Inventor: Thomas E.
