  • Patent number: 11841232
Abstract: The invention relates to a system and method for navigating an autonomous driving vehicle (ADV) that utilizes ADV an-onboard computer and/or one or more ADV control system nodes in an ADV network platform. The on-board computer receives sensor data concerning one or more occupants occupying an ADV and/or the ADV itself and, upon a detection of an event, automatically initiates a dynamic routing algorithm that utilizes artificial intelligence to re-route the ADV to another destination, for example a healthcare facility. One or more embodiment of the system and method include an ADV on-board computer and/or one or more ADV network platform nodes that utilize in-memory processing to aid in the generation of routing, health and navigational information to advantageously navigate an ADV.

  • Patent number: 11842065
Abstract: A data storage device stores data in non-volatile memory. In one approach, a method includes: storing software in a compressed format in a first mode (e.g., an SLC mode) in a non-volatile memory; exposing, while the software is stored in the first mode, the non-volatile memory to a temperature greater than a predetermined threshold; determining that the temperature of the non-volatile memory has fallen below the predetermined threshold; and in response to determining that the temperature of the non-volatile memory has fallen below the predetermined threshold: decompressing the stored software, and storing the decompressed software in a second mode (e.g., TLC mode) in the non-volatile memory. The second mode has a storage density higher than the first mode.

  • Patent number: 11836985
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying suspicious entities using autonomous vehicles are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed comprising identifying a suspect vehicle using at least one digital camera equipped on an autonomous vehicle; identifying a set of candidate autonomous vehicles; enabling, on each of the candidate autonomous vehicles, a search routine, the search routine instructing each respective autonomous vehicle to coordinate tracking of the suspect vehicle; recording, while tracking the suspect vehicle, a plurality of images of the suspect vehicle; periodically re-calibrating the search routines executed by the autonomous vehicles based on the plurality of images; and re-routing the autonomous vehicles based on the re-calibrated search routines.

  • Patent number: 11830296
Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatuses of predictive maintenance of automotive transmission of vehicles. For example, the transmission has at least one sensor to measure a temperature in transmission fluid, the torque applied on a shaft of the transmission, a vibration sensor, and/or a microphone. During a period in which the vehicle is assumed to be operating normally, the sensor data generated by the transmission sensor(s) is used to train an artificial neural network to recognize the normal patterns in the sensor data. Subsequently, the trained artificial neural network is used to determine whether the current sensor data from the transmission sensor(s) are abnormal. A maintenance alert can be generated for the vehicle in response to a determination that the operations of the transmission are abnormal according to the artificial neural network and the current sensor data.

  • Patent number: 11799038
Abstract: A semiconductor structure includes a capacitor structure comprising an active region comprising opposing field edges parallel to a first horizontal direction and a gate region comprising opposing gate edges parallel to a second horizontal direction transverse to the first horizontal direction. The semiconductor structure also comprises a first dielectric material adjacent at least one of the opposing field edges or the opposing gate edges and a second dielectric material adjacent the active area and abutting portions of the first dielectric material. A height of the second dielectric material in a vertical direction may be less than the height of the first dielectric material. Semiconductor devices and related methods are also disclosed.
