Abstract: A method and a rotating and conveying device for conveying and changing an orientation of a piece product. The method comprises feeding the product onto a product support of the conveying and rotating unit in a predetermined first orientation; changing the orientation from the first orientation to a second orientation by a first driver of the conveying and rotating unit, which first driver is moved in a predetermined conveying direction by the first driver abutting against the product eccentrically with respect to a direction perpendicular to the conveying direction and thereby introducing a rotational impulse; and conveying the product in the second orientation in the conveying direction by a second driver, which is moved in the conveying direction, abutting against the product at at least two points lying on opposite sides, with respect to a center of the product, in the direction perpendicular to the conveying direction.

  • Patent number: 10258061
Abstract: A method and device for producing individual strip-shaped objects. The method and device supply substantially rectangular sheets from which strip-shaped objects are to be formed. In forming the individual strips, the method and device separate an individual strip from the sheet along a front most groove, which forms a predetermined spacing between the individual consecutive separated strips for a subsequent onward conveying of the formed strips. Next, the method and device detect an actual position of each individually separated strip during the separation of the strips from the sheet, and corrects the position of the individual separated strips if the detected actual position of the strip does not correspond to a position which matches the predetermined spacing between the individual consecutive strips.

  • Patent number: 10259660
Abstract: A method and device for conveying and grouping products by supplying the products in a first conveying direction on a track by a first conveying device, wherein the products are located one behind another at arbitrary spacings; grouping the products on the track by a grouping device so that a defined number of products are arranged at defined spacings one behind another in a formed product group on the track behind the grouping device in the conveying direction; and transferring the formed product group to a second conveying device for forwarding in a second conveying direction so that the products maintain their relative alignment at the defined spacings with respect to one another in the formed product group and are essentially located side by side in a row. In a multiple-track embodiment, a product matrix is formed from several product groups which are located side by side.

  • Patent number: 9993014
Abstract: A conveying and separating method and a device for separating sheet-shaped objects, for example preliminary chewing-gum products or intermediate chewing-gum products in the form of chewing-gum sheets, into strip-shaped or slab-shaped object sub-units. The conveying and separating method and device for separating sheet-shaped objects preferably separates sub-units one after another from each of the sheet-shaped objects at at least one weakened region on each of the sheet-shaped objects by a conveying and separating device that preferably has a revolving conveyor belt with suction elements that can be activated and deactivated. The suction elements pick up, hold, and convey the sheet-shaped object when the suction element is activated and release the sub-units when the suction element is deactivated.

  • Patent number: 9994397
Abstract: A device and a method for portioning a flow of individual products having an input-side conveying device continuously supplying individual products and at least two output-side conveying devices for continuously discharging the products. The output-side conveying devices are arranged vertically above one another. The input-side conveying device continuously transfers the products to a first output-side conveying device. The input-side and/or the output-side conveying devices are able to be pivoted in their position to transfer the products to one of the at least two output-side conveying devices, continuously or in batches. The input and output-side conveying devices may be circulating conveyor belts, in the form of front and/or rear ends, which are movable in the direction of conveyance and cooperate so that during the phase of adjusting the position of the input and/or the output-side conveying devices, the products on the input-side may be supplied continuously at uniform spacings from one another.

  • Patent number: 4475426
Abstract: The apparatus for supplying chewing gum along a path to the driven feeder of a packaging machine includes a magazine, a scoring device, a pushing device for advancing chewing gum slabs from the magazine to the scoring device and a transfer device for advancing the scored gum slabs from the scoring device to the driven feeder. The pushing device and feeder are driven in relation to one another; however the scoring device and transfer device are driven at a constant speed which is independent of the operating rate of the pushing device and feeder. As a result, the chewing gum slabs are delivered to the feeder at the same speed under all operating conditions and will not become caught, deformed or piled-up in the apparatus due to changes in the operating rate of the feeder.
