Abstract: A presence detection system for an electrically adjustable furniture assembly is disclosed. The presence detection system comprises at least one steady element and at least one movable element, articulatedly and/or slidably connected to the at least one steady element wherein at least one of the steady elements and/or at least one of the movable elements comprise an electrically conducting element. The presence detection system further comprises at least one actuator, arranged to electrically adjust at least one of the movable elements and at least one capacitance detecting unit, electrically connected to the at least one electrically conducting element, arranged to detect a capacitance value of the at least one electrically conducting element.

Abstract: A massage system for a bed having a mattress comprises a massage controller adapted to control at least one massage actuator acting on the mattress. The massage controller is adapted, in a calibration mode of operation, to drive the at least one massage actuator with a test signal for excitation of the mattress, to receive measured values which represent a response of the mattress to the excitation with the test signal, and to determine, on the basis of the measured values and the test signal, a response characteristic represented by an oscillation response of the massage actuator and the mattress. In addition, the massage controller is adapted to control, in a massage mode of operation, the at least one massage actuator based on an adjustable massage parameter and the oscillation response.

Abstract: A hand-switch arrangement (HSA) for an adjustable seating furniture (SF), in particular a recliner, the hand-switch arrangement (HSA) comprising an operating unit (OU) and a carrier module (CM). The carrier module (CM) comprises a body part (BP) with an opening (O) for accommodating the operating unit (OU). The carrier module (CM) is designed to be mechanically fixed to a rigid part (RP) of the adjustable seating furniture (SF). The operating unit (OU) comprises a control panel (CP) for controlling a drive unit (DU) of the adjustable seating furniture (SF). The operating unit (OU) further comprises a locking means (LM1) and the carrier module (CM) comprises a mating locking means (LM2) for engaging the locking means (LM1) of the operating unit (OU) when the operating unit (OU) is inserted into the opening (O) of the carrier module (CM), wherein a mounting depth of the operating unit (OU) is adjustable.
