Abstract: A method of power control and energy management is provided. The method includes the steps of obtaining data from variable power generation facilitie(s) and obtaining data from customer load(s) at sampling frequencies of at least one sample per minute; defining a reference generation; calculating a charge assignment based on said data from one or more variable power generation facilities, said data from one or more customer loads, and said reference generation; determining a charging signal based on said charge assignment; and sending said charging signal to a customer load and/or a storage system at a rate of more than one per minute. Computer assisted methods and computer readable devices are also provided herewith. Thus, this invention provides an improved efficiency of integrating and managing power from variable sources of energy, such as wind energy.
