Patent number: 8079701Abstract: So-called ‘rimmed’ or “half-rimmed” spectacles have two optical or sun lenses with contiguous edges between which is a bridge supporting the nose pads. The lenses are joined together by a central linking element and by a rigid full frame or a partial frame comprising a rigid upper part which is continued by a lower part in the form of two flexible and transparent cords housed in a groove running a the edge of each lens to support them. The spectacles are characterized in that the central linking means is a vertical bar inserted between the extreme adjoining flanks of the contiguous edges of the lenses, respective profiles being formed in the flanks to engage with, by housing, complementary profiles formed on the flanks of the linking bar, in such a way as to locate and secure it, and hence the lenses, without additional mechanical fixing devices.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2008Date of Patent: December 20, 2011Assignee: Logo SAInventor: Didier Jacquemin

Patent number: 7992995Abstract: Spectacles include an optical or solar façade connected to two sidepieces which are each connected to the façade by a shaft which is substantially perpendicular to the façade and which is used to rotate each sidepiece about itself between a use position and a storage position in front of the façade having a radius of curvature substantially equal to that of the sidepiece. The sidepiece is divided into two portions, namely a first portion solidly connected to the central rotational shaft and a second portion connected to the first by an intermediate translational movement device disposed between the two portions and gradually engaging the second portion during the rotation of the first and consequently the second so as to subject the latter to two combined movements, one rotational and the other linear, for the automatic and simultaneous lengthening of the sidepiece as it is rotated to the use position and the shortening of the sidepiece as it is rotated to the storage position.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2009Date of Patent: August 9, 2011Assignee: Logo SAInventor: Didier Jacquemin

Publication number: 20110170051Abstract: An elastically deformable, hingeless spectacle arm is made exclusively of composite materials which have at least one layer of a reinforcing cloth and a coating or matrix made of a thermoplastic or heat-curable material.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2009Publication date: July 14, 2011Applicant: LOGO SAInventor: Didier Jacquemin

Publication number: 20110170053Abstract: A nose bearing assembly is secured onto a central area of the spectacles, directly on the optical or sun lenses, or on the bridge connecting the lenses or on a rim frame of the latter, each of the two nose bearing assemblies having a pad intended to contact the nose ala of a user and carried by a pad-bearing arm connected to the spectacles, characterized in that the pad is made of a elastically deformable material and is divided into two areas, i.e. an upper area for receiving a free end of the pad-bearing arm or securing and stiffening the pad in area, and another lower area capable of elastic deformation and of floating freely in all directions in order to obtain a self-adjustment of the pads independently from the morphology of the nose of the user when in contact with the latter.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2009Publication date: July 14, 2011Applicant: LOGO SAInventor: Didier Jacquemin

Patent number: 7862167Abstract: A linear element, especially a spectacle side, of the type comprising a flexible metal core coated with a flexible elastomer for comfort and/or appearance. Its structure is composed of a plurality of rigid plastic rings placed in fixed positions around predetermined areas of the flexible metal core so that each can serve as a point of intermediate mechanical attachment of the flexible elastomer with respect to the core. The cross section of the rings are inscribed within that of the elastomer surrounding it.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 2007Date of Patent: January 4, 2011Assignee: Logo SAInventor: Pierre Parent
