    Abstract: An electric motor possesses a motor housing, preferably a pressure-resistant one, wherein a stator is installed and a rotor is journaled for rotation. The pressure-resistant motor housing is preferably filled with gas, more particularly a gas under high pressure of preferably between 5 and 150 bar or greater. In order to reduce heat dissipation in the interior of the electric motor, a capsule is provided, which surrounds the rotor rods at the drive end and/or at the non-drive end.
