  • Patent number: 7871228
Abstract: The device (1) for stowing a vehicle when it is transported on a bearing plane (9) by one of its wheels or from an anchorage on the chassis is characterized in that it is constituted by the following means: a link (2) that has a coupling end (5) provided to engage with a tensioning and retaining mechanism (3), a tensioning end (6), and a sliding sheath (7) for support on a tyre, a mechanism for tensioning and retaining the link (2) that has a roll axis (10) of sufficient length to offer numerous transverse coiling positions of the strap, and a coupling and return assembly (4) passed through by the link (2). Said device therefore enables vehicles to be stowed in two ways: a) by coupling to the vehicle chassis and b) by stowing the vehicle by link (2) on its tyres. This invention relates to the transportation of vehicles on Lorries or railway trucks.

  • Publication number: 20100307880
Abstract: The repeating transverse support is either a one-branch or a two-branch (15, 16) sleeper which is pressed against the bed plate (8) by elements which secure the directional guide rail (2). The terminal ends of this sleeper, which are in the form of mounting plates (23, 24), each support an electrical power supply lateral profile (33, 34) by way of an electrical insulator (27, 28) and an adjustment member. This repeating transverse support is of interest to the manufacturers of tracks for electrically powered guided road vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20100283477
Abstract: An assembly (1) for detecting an electric discontinuity that comprises an exciter (6) connected via at least one capacitor to two contacts (2, 3) normally connected between them by an electrically conducting member (4). The circuit outside the exciter defines a resonating circuit having an impedance that changes upon the opening of one of the contacts. The frequency of the detection circuit, which varies between two values corresponding to the two open or closed states of the contacts, is used by an electronic processing module (8) that generates a dysfunctional signal upon opening of one of the contacts. The invention can be used in numerous fields, such as transport, handling, storage, etc.

  • Publication number: 20100213268
Abstract: The invention relates to a support including a rail (10) preferably having an I-shaped section and provided in a channel (2) filled with concrete (4). The rail is partially coated, during the manufacture thereof and essentially along its entire length, with a filler material (8) defining at least one lateral extension (16) resting on the concrete and in which is formed a lateral groove (9) for the passage of the guiding or rolling roller. The rail is directly maintained by the concrete without requiring the use of an intermediate device for an additional fixation. The rail can be curved upon laying in order to conform to the curves of the track without any independent or additional bending step.

  • Publication number: 20100133034
Abstract: The guidance system comprises two guidance devices (16) mounted in opposite directions either side of the axle (2) and each comprising: a guidance arm (17) terminated by at least one guidance roller (18); a set of articulated connecting rods serving as a deformable link interface (23) between the axle and the guidance arm; and a jack (29) with two independent and opposing rods (30, 31), having a “rods extended” position in which its two rods lock the set of connecting rods to render it rigid and orient the axle, and a “rods retracted” position in which the set of connecting rods is free and allows a lateral oscillation. Preferably, the jack (29) offers an additional function for damping the lateral oscillation. This invention is of interest in the field of the guidance of public transport road vehicles by a rail.

  • Publication number: 20100071582
Abstract: An anti-extraction safety device having, for each roller (13, 14), a rotationally fixed, preferably enveloping, shroud element (32, 33) forming a single-component functional mechanical set with its counterpart. The shroud parts are inclined and each has an extension (46, 47), at the base, which extends beneath the projecting flanks (21, 22) of the head of the guiding rail (19) to prevent extraction of the guidance set. At the front, the base of the shroud parts is preferably moulded into a spout for collecting and disposing of objects which may be present on the guiding track. • Publication number: 20100065692
Abstract: A sliding body (25) which includes an electrical contact shoe (32) that moves on a guide rail (5) along the length thereof. The sliding body (25) is mounted to the front of a guiding assembly, in the direction of movement of a vehicle, and articulated with the assembly by a connecting rod (26) that is designed to rupture upon exceeding a pre-determined limit. The sliding body (25) includes a device (43), which is located on at least one of the sides of the body, for lifting and releasing objects or debris. The loss of electrical contact between the shoe and the rail enables a risk of derailment to be detected. The invention is suitable for rail-guided vehicle manufactures.

  • Patent number: 7600621
Abstract: The device for capturing electrical energy having a capturing plough-type element (10), an arm for holding the capturing plough-type element on the frame of the vehicle, a mechanism for lifting up the plough-type element and the way for electrical connection to the supply circuit of a vehicle. The plough-type element is electrically insulated in relation to the ground and the trackway. One part of the plough-type element separates two profiled part holders (23, 24) which are arranged beside each other in another opposite manner and are supported a support. The conducting elements of the lower end of the plough-type element are maintained in electrical contact, sliding along polar parts born by each part holder. Along the entire length of each part holder (23, 24), each part holder is mounted in an elastically recoiling manner such that it moves towards its adjacent opposite number with the aid of an elastic mechanism.

  • Patent number: 7562893
Abstract: The invention relates to an improved hitch coupling assembly which dampens the hunting movements of a road trailer being towed by a motor vehicle and which is intended for a vehicle combination comprising a motor vehicle and a trailer. More specifically, the inventive hitch coupling assembly (4) comprises: (i) a first pivot coupling (12) for the hunting movements, consisting of a pivoting device which dampens the hunting movements (40) of the trailer and which is housed in a closed space such that it is sheltered from the ingress of pollutant materials; and (ii) a second coupling (21) for the rolling and pitching movements, which is used for the play-free transmission of the hunting movements to the first coupling, the axis of the hunting movements being thus decoupled from the rolling and pitching movements.
