  • Patent number: 9278441
Abstract: A hydraulic installation tool comprises a fixed jaw, a movable, and a plurality of independent hydraulic cylinders each comprising a piston. Movement of the pistons in a first direction moves the movable jaw toward the fixed jaw. A plurality of guide rods comprises a first end secured to the fixed jaw. A plurality of retaining members are each removably coupled to an associated one of the plurality of guide rods about the second end. The movable jaw is disposed between the fixed jaw and the plurality of hydraulic cylinders for movement along the guide rods. Each hydraulic cylinder is independently removable from the associated guide rod upon removal of the associated retaining member from said guide rod. In one example, the fixed and movable jaws are configured to engage and axially force a swage ring onto a fitting body to connect and seal the fitting body to a fluid conduit.

  • Patent number: 9010221
Abstract: Hand pliers for assembly purposes includes an assembly limb and a handle limb rotatably connected to one another via a first link joint. The handle limb is divided into an off-handle lever and a handle-near lever and these two levers are rotatably connected to one another by a bolt via a second link joint, wherein a tension wheel and a ratchet wheel with external toothing connected torsionally proof to it are pivotably arranged on the bolt side by side in axial direction, and the tension wheel engages into a tension device that connects both handle limbs to one another, and a spring-loaded dog ratchet is arranged at the handle-near lever, engaging into the ratchet wheel in such a manner that when the handle-near lever makes a latching movement it permits a rotation of the ratchet wheel on closing the pliers, but prevents its rotation in the opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 7654588
Abstract: A pipe connection includes a metal locking ring which can be pushed onto the external pipe of two interlocking metal pipes to connect the latter. The inner face of the locking ring has a leading section that tapers conically in a radial direction in opposition to the direction of application; a trailing section that tapers conically in a radial direction in opposition to the direction of application and that causes the pipe to be radially compressed, when the ring is in the locking position; and a central section lying between the leading section and the trailing section. A central section with a conical configuration improves a pipe connection of this type so that the tensile strength of heavy duty pipe connections or pipe connections consisting of pipes of material with low elasticity becomes mechanically more stable.

  • Patent number: 7140278
Abstract: A pair of manual tongs comprising two limbs which are rotatably connected in a common first rotational axis. The first limb is separated into two levers in its lever section, the two levers being rotatably connected in a first articulation, in a second rotational axis parallel to the common first rotational axis. A means of traction connects the second limb to the lever of the first limb, which is situated at a distance from the handle. The means of traction can be shortened by means of a pivotal movement of the lever of the first limb, which is situated close to the handle, above the second rotational axis. The areas of use of the manual tongs are often difficult to access. According to the invention, the second limb of the inventive manual tongs is thus separated into a lever situated at a distance from the handle and a lever situated close to the handle and the two levers are rotatably connected in a second articulation, in a third rotational axis which is parallel to the common first rotational axis.
