    Abstract: A portable dust or aerosol dispenser has a motor-driven air compressor operable to supply compressed air to a coiled hose. A hand-operated valve assembly connected to the hose is selectively attached to a duster unit or an aerosol unit. The duster unit has container storing dust and a nozzle connected to a siphon tube to carry dust from the container and discharge the dust, along with air, to a desired location. The aerosol unit has a container storing a liquid and a nozzle assembly connected to a siphon tube to draw liquid from the container, break up the liquid in small particles and discharge the particles with a stream of air to a desired location.

    Abstract: A gas compressor drivably connected to an engine operates to supply compressed gas to a tank. The compressor has a housing including a commercial air cooled internal combustion engine block and cooling air system having a single cylinder chamber accommodating a reciprocating piston. The piston moves gas through a head and valve assembly connected to an air-to-air after cooler operable to cool and carry cooled compressed gas to a tank. The head holds the valve assembly on the cylinder. The valve assembly has a first valving ring allowing one-way flow of gas into the cylinder chamber and a second valving ring allowing one-way gas flow out of the cylinder chamber. A heat exchange unit is cooled with air moved by the commercial engine air cooling system of the compressor. The driving engine is of the same make and general type as used for the components of the compressor.

    Abstract: A thermal fog generator having an internal combustion engine rotating a blower to discharge a continuous stream of air through a tube into the atmosphere. The hot exhaust gas from the engine is directed to an enclosed muffler and exhaust pipe into the air moving through the tube. A liquid formulation stored in a container is delivered to the muffler. The hot exhaust gas in the muffler atomizes and vaporizes the liquid formulation and carries the atomized and vaporized liquid formulation to the air moving in the tube. The cool air condenses the vaporized liquid formulation to produce a fog. A hand-operated control is used to regulate the supply of engine crankcase gases under pressure derived from the engine crankcase to the container. The control includes a valve unit operable to bypass the crankcase gases under pressure from the engine to the atmosphere and vent the gases under pressure from the container to promptly terminate the flow of liquid formulation to the muffler.
