Abstract: A jig for drilling and/or tapping in a ski top the holes necessary for fixing a safety ski binding thereto comprises a frame adapted to be temporarily secured to the ski and consisting of a pair of parallel elastic rods along which a pair of slides are movable and adapted to be locked in the desired positions; each slide carries the necessary number of guide sockets for the bit and/or tap, the socket length and position on the frame being such that in combination with shoulder means provided on the bit and/or tap the depth of penetration of the bit or tap into the ski cannot exceed a predetermined value.
Abstract: In this assembly comprising a ski boot and a safety ski binding for the heel end of the ski boot, adapted to cooperate with the heel end by means of a heel clamping member, the rounded rear end of the upper extends beyond the heel end of the sole, and a recess is formed between the upper and the sole, the heel clamping member comprising a lever adapted to be depressed by the rear end of the upper for closing this lever upon the edge of the sole when the ski boot is being fitted into the binding, the free outer operative end of the lever being thus caused to penetrate into the recess, so that the device can safely be used even with ski boots having their heel edges bevelled as a consequence of the wear thereof.
Abstract: This combined ski boot and safety binding comprising a recessed boot receiving a binding case is adapted releasably to cooperate with a complementary member fastened to the ski, the case comprising pistons responsive to resilient return springs, the pistons being provided with transverse rods engaging cam contours formed on upstanding lateral lugs rigid with the complementary member; the boot is provided with a pivot member formed with opposite flat faces adapted to actuate the pistons when the boot is lifted and/or rotated as a consequence of a forward or backward fall, or in case of abnormal torsion stress, so as to release the boot and the case from the complementary member.
