Abstract: Release liners and processes for making the same are disclosed. The release liners include no more than about 1.5 micrograms/square centimeter of nonreacted silicone materials (extractables). The release liners are prepared using solvent coating of radiation curable silicone release materials.

Abstract: Structured polyolefin coated substrates and processes for making the same are disclosed. A chill roll is used to impart a plurality of peaks which protrude outwardly from the polyolefin coating of the structured substrate. In addition, the chill roll surface is treated to impart a matte finish and thus to transfer a matte finish to the area surrounding the peaks of the polyolefin coating.

Abstract: Cost effective film laminates having desirable stiffness and processes for making the same are disclosed. The laminates include outer layers formed from one or more films having superior flexural modulus properties sandwiching a thicker yet less stiff polyolefin layer. The multilayered structures are suitable for use in applications which typically require a single heavy gauge film having a high degree of stiffness, such as release liners and the like.
Abstract: Laminates including cellulosic material are provided which exhibit dimensional stability upon exposure to changes in ambient moisture. The laminates include at least two layers formed of a cellulosic material sandwiching and bonded to an inner polymeric layer. The polymer layer is thicker than either of the cellulosic layers.
