    Abstract: A basic circuit (10) includes an oscillator (11) whose frequency can be set via a frequency-determining component (15). At outputs (A1-A5), the basic circuit (10) cyclically generates pulses by which consumers (L1-L5) are driven. A switch (18) is connected in parallel to the frequency-determining component (15), said switch being controlled by the outputs (A1-A5) and changing the oscillator frequency during an output pulse. Thus, the output pulses change the oscillator frequency and thus their own pulse duration themselves.
